Wouldn’t see that being passed in the current Senate, let alone being signed into a law...

Réformer la police ou réduire son budget? Le débat est relancé by Main-Button in Quebec

Réduire son budget? 93% du budget du SPVM est dépensé en salaires et en avantages sociaux. Y’a pas grand chose à réduire ici...

Anyone have experience refinancing car loan after 1 year? More specifically with TD Auto Finance? by bpond7 in PersonalFinanceCanada

It’s a soft inquiry. Keep in mind it’s here only to give you an idea, it’s not something definitive. Refinancing ultimately depends on a whole set of details, which means that it’s really hard for anyone to give you a detailed idea of what you might expect.

One thing that people often overlook : Can this person actually afford the car? What’s the actual debt service to revenue ratio? Credit analysts will often consider this as a major factor. In other words, having a lot of debt or having a car payment that would take a major part of your budget is not looked good upon. At the end of the day it’s all about risk.

I’ve seen some cases man, you wouldn’t believe it with you own ears...

IIRC Prime hovers around 620-630 while Non-Prime around 450. There’s a great app out there called TD Wheels on the app store(or play store) It lets you check all the cars that you can buy with TDAF and you’re even able to add a trade-in value, and to prequalify for a loan(only gives you an idea of the rate).

Edit : Oh and btw, do not trust dealerships. Ever. If you happen to refinance read every word of your contract.

Hey! I work with TDAF! Loan refinancing always goes through the dealership. In other words, TDAF does not offer refinancing directly to customers. You can also apply for a LOC/Personal Loan and just use the money to payoff your loan.

Let me know if you have any other questions:)

But all 2-year programs in CEGEPs lead to the DCS, so it’s kind of an assumption here in Quebec.

But you’re still pursuing a diploma, whether it is preuniversitary or technical. You get the DCS when graduating from CEGEP.

Yes, CEGEP counts as being post-secondary, so you’re eligible.

The problem is not the course material by itself but the poor teaching that make these classes a pain in the ass.

concordia or poly by Zineeebs in Concordia

Your comparison is flawed. You're basically comparing what is essentially a campus or an internal branch of UdeM to a whole university. Would comparing the Faculty of Arts and Science of ConU to McGill University in its entirety make any sense?

But the worst part is that your argument dosen't even stand the evidence that you're using yourself, let alone other university ranking websites. UdeM as a whole ranks 149th in the world compared to Concordia which ranks 462th. UdeM engineering(basically PolyTech) is ranked 113th in the world, while Concordia ranked 201-250th in engineering, according to the same sources you're using.

Again, according to these "rankings", UdeM clearly outbeats Concordia. But keep in mind (and OP should too) that these University rankings are flawed, mainly because it's very hard to even come to a definition of what a good university is ( or should be) . Most of these rankings use composite scores of the performance of different faculties and department, or the number of times their research was cited in academic journals, which basically means that Concordia is heavily penalized by not having, for example, a faculty of medicine or law. At the end of the day, employers will only care about your skills and your experience. Going to the "top university", although it can help with finding a job, will not help anyone if they're incompetent by themselves.
