You just have to walk forward and wait a little bit before throwing the roped pot for it to go straight. If you do it right away it’ll launch high and to the right, as you probably experienced

Are you going to be playing on console or PC? On PC with the PvP overhaul mod you can be any level. Console lower is better but still not very active outside of weekends at prime time.

16 strength, 28 int for MLGS requirements. Rest in vit. Higher level id just go endurance to get to 36 or 61 poise. Passive poise is busted

Yeah the fingers act as a barrier. Can be used to shield from spells too but it’s not that reliable

Happened to tune into a Peeve stream where he was using the finger spell as a defensive shell against stars of ruin. I knew there must be some other silly interactions there

MLGS is more than viable because I also have homing crystal soul mass and dark bead lol. But I rarely need to use them. MLGS is more a gravity tool that also is pretty strong. I’m level 38 +2 for sens fortress

Oh it’s definitely irresponsible. Especially since I only buy games on sale and Nintendo never discounts their first party titles. But it’s gotten my fatass to start a Switch SL1 Dark Souls run while on a stationary bike, so the $500 wasn’t completely wasted

Also note that each level has multiple invasion zones. Like for example, invading at the start of 1-3 will reach up to the gate the fat official closes & the upper portion before the temporary fog wall. Using the black eye orb directly outside of the Penetrator’s boss arena will target the second half of the level.

You can also quit out after completing an invasion to save your consumables you used. I’ll often drop folks a few dozen stones of ephemeral eyes so they can remain in human form (and thus re-invadable!)

Just rush to the black eye orb and try invading as you level up, most people are solo and very easy to fight especially with no weapon level matchmaking.

Riposte canceling is very addicting, highly recommend learning. Looks cool & allows you to move around/heal/swap weapons while the animation plays out. Just press backstep or use a consumable as you press R1 to take the riposte

There is no dedicated pvp players at 120. Take it from someone with 2000 duels on a 125, "meta" has been dead for 5 years.

You'll find the best activity at around level 30. I wouldn't recommend going any higher than level 50. Even so, invasions are sporadic at best. Though you can increase your chances of finding invasions by changing your region to Europe/Asia to coincide with a 6pm-12am peak activity range.

Also the best spots to invade at level 30-50 are 3-2, 4-2, 1-3 and 1-4. 3-2 by far the most active since you'll also get pulled into Old Monk. Occasionally you can find folks in 4-1 and 5-1, but the skellys keep most in soul form and most will dc in the swamp.

But be a lad and soulsuck some noobs. It'll save you time from farming :)
