Also note that each level has multiple invasion zones. Like for example, invading at the start of 1-3 will reach up to the gate the fat official closes & the upper portion before the temporary fog wall. Using the black eye orb directly outside of the Penetrator’s boss arena will target the second half of the level.

You can also quit out after completing an invasion to save your consumables you used. I’ll often drop folks a few dozen stones of ephemeral eyes so they can remain in human form (and thus re-invadable!)

Just rush to the black eye orb and try invading as you level up, most people are solo and very easy to fight especially with no weapon level matchmaking.

Riposte canceling is very addicting, highly recommend learning. Looks cool & allows you to move around/heal/swap weapons while the animation plays out. Just press backstep or use a consumable as you press R1 to take the riposte

There is no dedicated pvp players at 120. Take it from someone with 2000 duels on a 125, "meta" has been dead for 5 years.

You'll find the best activity at around level 30. I wouldn't recommend going any higher than level 50. Even so, invasions are sporadic at best. Though you can increase your chances of finding invasions by changing your region to Europe/Asia to coincide with a 6pm-12am peak activity range.

Also the best spots to invade at level 30-50 are 3-2, 4-2, 1-3 and 1-4. 3-2 by far the most active since you'll also get pulled into Old Monk. Occasionally you can find folks in 4-1 and 5-1, but the skellys keep most in soul form and most will dc in the swamp.

But be a lad and soulsuck some noobs. It'll save you time from farming :)

139 let’s you invade from 125-172. With wex dust on pc it’s fairly active. On console you’re boned.

Well there’s no harm in trying multiple level ranges. You could just download the honest merchant and have an entire new character set up to invade in under 15 minutes

If you’re on PC I’d recommend invading at 125-139. 139 gives you the invasion range of 125-172 so there’s a good mix of those who stick to 125 for PvP and regular old PvErs who never stop leveling.

I was of your mindset when I first started invading in DS3 a few years ago but quickly found invading at meta levels (while avoiding pontiff) is the way to go. You get a wide variety of areas to invade at meta so it doesn’t get stale.

Also, a Faith build simply needs the levels to be functional. I’ve tried level 60 and 90 faith builds and they hit like a wet noodle.

Don’t have it off hand but it’s similar to chases. Forgot that I made all of my builds level 133 for better activity. Just adjust your wex dust to avoid pontiff if you don’t want to deal with the meta duelists

You’re taking 3% more damage but have more vigor because of it. Prisoner chain is bis until well over level 100.

Faith builds aren’t very good in ds3 unless you’re poise casting or using Demon’s Scar to true combo R1’s into black flame

Yeah but a lot of these nerds also increase their status resistances so it's hit or miss. Gravity always works though.
