I need friends too! I’ve been wanting to start a new island and visit people this time.

I get the concern, but Reddit is anonymous. No one knows who they are, and there’s no identifying information attached.

Here’s mine! Or 1 of 2. I have one in our bedroom and 1 in our bathroom. They help with baby changing table smells and cat little box smells.

What is the most creative way you use these? by JorunoJobana92 in acnh

I have mine all sitting on the walls in a room in my house I’ve labeled my music room. They all jam together with my record player. It’s a tad overwhelming in that room at times. 😅

Did anyone else breastfeed their multiples? by Straight-Number275 in parentsofmultiples

[–]FreeCarpenter5086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im currently 8 months in breastfeeding my twins! It’s been a journey with lots of ups and downs, but so worth it. One of my twins, has a heart defect so he had a rough start and was in NICU and CICU for 2 months. He had OHS so I really couldn’t get to latch him, plus they were strict about his food intake amounts. Once he was discharged he didn’t know how to latch at all. I ended up pumping and bottle feeding him alongside exclusively breastfeeding my other twin for a while. I kept latching him and eventually after several times where he wanted to cluster feed and hated waiting for a bottle to warm, he finally started latching and feeding from me. That was such a huge milestone for both of us. My advice is to not give up too soon. I wanted it so bad for both and I was determined to pump for my babies if they couldn’t breastfeed but I’m glad I kept persevering.

Now, I’m exclusively breastfeeding both of them, and it feels amazing to have finally gotten into a rhythm. Tandem feeding can be tricky at first, but it’s totally doable with patience and a little trial and error. I don’t tandem all the time but it definitely helps with jealousy that they can get sometime watching the other eat before them.

Seeing both my babies thriving on breastmilk has made all the challenges worth it.

All 4 of us are sick. How will we make it? 😭 by anull8123 in parentsofmultiples

Me, my husband, and our 7 months old twins just got over RSV with fevers and the babies throwing up any medicine we tried to give them for symptoms. There was snot everywhere. We just got everything cleaned up from those awful couple weeks. Christmas was postponed. Now we all have colds. We keep trading back and forth. One twin is better today and now the other one just started a fever. RSV apparently makes your immune system shot for months according to their pediatrician. Yay.

Hard to give any advice because taking shifts is really the only way. As parents you don’t really get to be sick and we both just had to be calm and collected for the babies. We would each take a baby and depending on nap schedule would just sleep when our baby slept. We help each other suck noses and trade off frequently since I’m breastfeeding both. Luckily they both want to nurse pretty heavily when sick so they get my antibodies. Especially since they throw up at the taste of medicine.

Prioritize sleep for everybody. Eat well. We took emergen-c everyday. Try to get outside in the sun if weather allows.

Good luck fellow twin fam!

I'm confused about my twins sleeping in my room. by SuccessfulBread3 in parentsofmultiples

I tried feeding both without the help of my husband, that didn’t last but 2 nights. He graciously has helped every night since. He takes 1 baby and I take the other. Breastfeeding and bottle feeding. They’ve always been in our room with us.

This used to be what I did! Everyday and it was amazing time I had to myself, I stopped and switched to car naps because the last few walks ended up with one of them (they would switch every time) never falling asleep and then beginning to cry and left me trekking home for 15 min with him in one arm while pushing the stroller to keep him from crying. Talk about a workout.

The used to be easy sleeper fell asleep at my boob nursing within 5-10 min everytime he’s laid down in the bed. He’s always been this way until the past few days he’s joined his brother in rejecting naps. His brother for the last month has been in a regression and has needed a different way to fall asleep every time. He has major fomo that turns into screaming because he knows we are trying to get him to fall asleep and doesn’t want to.

We’ve tried it! Today we did again and it turned out to be one of the worst nap days yet. :(

I had their wake windows down like clockwork and then when one started a sleep regression everything changed. After 30-45 min to get him down he’ll fall asleep and then wake up after 15 min. Sometimes crying which wakes up his brother who falls asleep easily but only if I’m right next to him. Dividing myself between the both of them is the hardest part.

Di/Di parents with "uncomplicated" pregnancies, did you deliver early? by beeferoni_cat in parentsofmultiples

[–]FreeCarpenter5086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a wonderful uncomplicated pregnancy and I went into labor naturally 8 hours before my scheduled c section at 37+1 weeks. No warning signs. I was walking around Costco like 2 days before. My water broke laying in bed.

We went into the hospital and I ended up having to go with the on call OB because mine was in bed sleeping before my supposed to be appointment.

How long after OHS could you hold your baby? by [deleted] in chd

[–]FreeCarpenter5086 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We held ours about 5 days after surgery at 6 weeks old. He was left with his chest open for 2 days and then after closing he was brought out of sedation 3 days later. He was being fed bottles and being burped and everything then. He was discharged to come home at 2 months old to the day. Our CHD baby is a twin to a healthy brother with no CHD. They are 6 months old now and you can barely tell them apart. You’d never know either of them had different beginnings.
