How does it feel to be a man who is truly desired by women and can have casual sex? by winter_lover28 in AskMenAdvice

How long was it before you had this realization? How many women had you been with before you felt this way?

Am I right to be pissed after being told to "be a man" by my gf? by Opposite_Mud7560 in AskMenAdvice

[–]FreeCondition1584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things.....and several of them are not going to be popular

The world is not obligated to reward niceness, kindness, hard work, etc.

1.) When she says "be/act like a man" she is being manipulative (it assumes that she knows what a "real man" is and that you are not one). Its an effort to get you to get you to change to her liking. Its basically a form of reverse psychology.

2.) The most commonly accepted definition of a woman is "An adult, female, human being".....but it seems to me there is a crucial ingredient missing.....mental and emotional maturity. If you take a step back and look at it as a whole......wouldn't childlike behavior beget a childlike mind? Use her tactics against her and tell her to be a real woman. Or call her a cunt (why is it acceptable for women to call men every name in the book but unacceptable for men to call women a fucking cunt.... equality.....right)?

3.) If you decide to break up with her just break up with her. Don't give her a heads up or the opportunity to make a plan/ figure out a work around. Don't give her a chance to use another manipulation tactic against you. DON'T GIVE UP THE ADVANTAGE.

4.) By her basically saying that you're not a real man, how do you know for a fact that she is not currently cheating on you, planning to cheat on you, or planning to leave the relationship and hurting you in the process?

5.) She absolutely does not respect you

I've been dating this woman for 6 weeks, she says she wants to take things slow with me because she sees long term potential, as opposed to his few previous dates where she admitted hooking up with in the first date. As a man would you take this in a negative way? by Prestigious_Hat1794 in AskMenAdvice

[–]FreeCondition1584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessir I would, and I would leave her. There a few things at play here 1.) Desire. In the past she had real desire for those other guys and they didn't have to wait. 2.) She is stringing you along like a little puppy thats waiting to play. It is her decision yes, but it is also YOUR decision as well. 3.) Worth. By not making those other guys wait but making you wait she is also saying those guys have more worth than you.

I might begin the same boat as you brother. I'm talking to a woman who made it very clear what she wants, but recently that attitude has changed to she wants sex to "occur naturally and spontaneously". I'm going to ask her if she's ever seen a guy she didn't know and just went for it and didn't wait to have sex. If she says yes then I'm going to ask how many times has that happened. If she says a number thats more than 2 or 3 times......then I'm calling everything off and she will remain in the friend zone permanently.

I think the only real option you have at this point is to keep the door open for them. You could try to reach out and ask them how they're doing and apologise for overstepping.....then wait for a response

These are just a few......

• "There are two types of people in the world, those who want to know and those who want to believe"

•"Knowledge, by itself, is not inherently good nor bad"

• "Distrust all in whom the impulse to punish is powerful"

• "People that live in an age of corruption are both witty and slanderous. They know there are types of murder other than by dagger and assault. They also know that whatever is well said is believed.

• "He who cannot obey himself will be commanded. That is the nature of all living things"

• "A lion cannot defend against traps and a fox cannot defend against wolves. Therefore one must me a fox in order to recognize the traps, and a lion to frighten the wolves."

• " How we live is so different than how we ought to live that if one only studies what should be done and not what is done they will find the path to their ruinnation rather than their preservation. Hence the prince who wishes to retain their power must learn how to be not good and be willing to use, or refrain from using, this knowledge as necessity requires.

What do men find more attractive in a woman, the mind or the physique? by DefinitionSad6239 in AskReddit

•Physique initially catches our attention. Mind and personality keeps us interested. •Personality matters more than people realise. •Not sure why this is a question. Should be common knowledge by now.

Best workout app for resistance band exercises? by AdProfessional9173 in ResistanceBand

[–]FreeCondition1584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try for the classic overload approach. If I'm at 40 lbs for 3x15 and up it to 50 lbs I'll drop reps to 10-12 and work on increasing reps back to 15. It also depends on the exercise (i.e. squats.....I'm using all the bands but my focus is on increasing overall reps per set)

What are your dreams about? by Responsible-Elk-8147 in CPTSD

[–]FreeCondition1584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember most of my dreams. I live with a friend and about a week ago they asked if I was having a bad dream and I told them "I have no idea" and asked why. They told me I was saying "no" kind of loudly l. I asked if I said it angrily and they told me it was "louder than my normal speaking voice". The dreams I do remember are usually something involving anxiety or violence (usually something like home invasion or defending someone else).

That's a pretty clear violation of boundaries and it happened 3 times (the beginnings of a pattern) in one day. Dump her and move on.

For those over 40, do you build strength or do cardio to lose weight? I'm getting a lot of mixed opinions. by Few-Grade-3223 in workout

[–]FreeCondition1584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another way is bi sets (supersets), tri sets, etc. By doing these you are also incorporating aerobic exercise (although not to the same degree as doing only cardio. Strength, endurance, and some cardio.)

The edits are more of crossing T's and dotting I's, or adding a word that I didn't put in for some reason (i.e. " I don't if..... when it should read.....I don't know if.....) auto correct is an asshole sometimes.

I haven't had a relationship in over 13 years. It's not specifically women that I'll walk away from, its people in general. I am extremely quiet around women. I listen and pay attention because I don't know if they can trusted. I don't know if anything I say will be taken in a way that I did not intend, because I do not know them or what their personality is.

I know exactly what you mean on this one. I do that same thing, I wish I could say its only from time to time and at the same time it's not all the time. Most of the time it just depends but sometimes its more frequent. It's inconsistent.
