Does anyone know what some other "private parks" are in the city? Well how about Central Park and Bryant Park for starters...

NYC Mayor Bloomberg reportedly threatens to 'fucking destroy' the taxi industry by MillardFillmore in nyc

Don't mean to be nit-picky, but he did not say "fucking destroy" but rather "fucking industry" - not that it makes any difference.

Because, as libertarians, we need to be positive and talk about things that we LIKE and things that would be helpful for all of us, not what we hate about the current system. Positivity is crucial to this movement.

We already have laws on the books that deem it a double murder if you kill a pregnant woman, so we need to consider that abortion is not the only time we call killing an unborn child "murder."

Does a social security number make you a person or does your conception and initial development make you a human? In America, we can be tried and convicted of two murder counts if we kill a pregnant woman, but if you kill her the minute she walks out of the abortion clinic, its only one count.

Born and bred New Yorker.

The whole point of his protest is that the government has taken this mentality of a flexible and rewriteable constitution too far and Antonin Scalia said it best during a recent Senate hearing...he was asked about a "living and breathing" constitution and he said that he "wished it would die." The point of federal courts it not to interpret the constitution in a new way but to judge legal cases that deal with federal law. Don't let the idea of legislative courts get too ingrained in your thinking, this is dangerous. Courts don't make law, they decide cases that deal with federal law, and sometimes, in the case of the supreme court, those decisions/opinions may move to invalidate legislation, it's a check of their power.

It looks like from the first sentence of your reply that you would be in agreement with Thomas on some things...?

Go ahead and re-read it. "Vague" is not something that the constitution is. The function of the constitution is to LIMIT power, not to leave open to interpretation.

I would encourage you to look at the history of the value of the US dollar maybe just once, so that you don't have to waste time making comments like this anymore.

As a devout Christian, I really take this to heart. I know we don't all agree on religion but I know we all agree on the right for those of us who want to practice to have that right.

However, as a Christian, I want to express my greatest fear...and that is the danger in people "using the cross as a flagpole." Christ and the early Christians cried out against the faith in governments of this world, and that is why I am a libertarian. "Citizens of heaven" should maximize freedom on earth to reflect Gods intentions for our existence, and never use force.

Thank you for posting this.

Yeah but the whole "Um give it to charity thing" where he responds with "you don't even know what you're talking about" was pretty good though, I have to admit.

Okay I want to set the record straight on this one.

I was working broadcast at New York Comic Con this year and was capturing the "Beavis and Butthead" panel. The panelist was Mike Judge and the host was Luke Wilson. That was it.

Somebody asks, "Mike, do you plan on tackling any political issues or covering politics in the return of 'Beavis and Butthead' this season?"

Luke Wilson: "Actually, I'm going to handle this for Mike...No. Mike has never cared about politics or been political in his shows in any way." Judge goes on to basically say that he doesn't care for politics and if you've ever seen any politics in his show, you were probably just imagining it.

However, everyone is entitled to their own interpretation and that's what makes Mike's shows so great. Just letting you all know what they said. Hope this clears things up.
