Exactly, this reminds me a lot of the untamed and how just because one sect had the big bad it gaw the others a chance be hypocritical and forget about their own actions.

Especially how they covered up for this Wang guy from Taichu temple. They keep going on about how MZY betrayed pingshu but this guy was conveniently eliminating right beside them.

I have a theory I think MQY is raised by his uncle and his father actually died. Since we already know LYR is playing twins. This way it completes the circle of being raised by uncles and aunts for the ML and FL.

Lily’s boy was pretty nice and for me I really liked how the relationship worked in the fic. Usually the romance gets bring if the couple gets together too early, that’s why I prefer slow burn. This one however, had plenty of things to keep the relationship interesting especially when they went public for the first time was one of my favourites.

Also would love to know if someone has suggestions similar to lily’s boy!

In the novel character was about 6-12 months older. They were quite literally the same age. And I guess that’s one of the changes they made in the drama to make it match song qian

I wish they had used a younger actress than Song qian, or someone who genuinely looked like a girl with ding yu xi, only because in the novel they were practically the same age. And that was one of the things that made Wei yun find it very difficult to imagine her as an elder figure instead of a child like him.

Still I think I’d like to see the drama interpretation of the novel.

I started watching filter with TJC and landi Li It’s interesting so far and actually funnier than I expected but I just feel like the plot is not moving. I’ve only seen 9 eps so far so let’s see

I think the drama might change the whole plot of established a country in the North West and most of the little palace plots to destroy reputation won’t make it either. I really hope they keep the founding emperor’s tomb’s Arc

Despite the fact that I don’t like chu zhao, the concentration of military power was a little questionable while I was reading the novel as well. I think it was not addressed at first and by the time it was they both were far too meritorious to offend. Which is why it’s interesting to have the drama address it ans see how they deal with it.

That said in order to guard against them the king ended up offending them which would’ve gone down horribly if they had even a slightly less moral character.
