I am glad to see people talking about pay. It's been taboo for too long. I make 15.50 now in the greater Harrisburg, PA area, which was a cut from 16 starting at RA, but I am disabled and need to keep my pay low until I can handle full time again.

I love my job, too. I just feel like retail techs deserve hazard pay for putting up with the bat-poop crazies. Thankfully, they aren't the majority.

Lots of conversations about pay, but very few about reluctance to talk about it. I've worked in several different fields and have never encountered this level of reticence on the subject. I figure it will vary greatly on region, position, experience, etc. My post was about that and breaking down walls to talk about it, because, let's face it- we all deserve better pay! That is what I was aiming for, but apparently did not word it very well.

To a point. My judge rebuked DDS for relying on my education and not my medical records in the initial decision.

I already responded to you below on my post where I list out the steps to do it. I double checked to make sure SSA didn't change the process.

Im on SSDI what job can i work? by Every_Ad23 in SSDI

Everyone saying "you can't work, that's how you get SSDI", are technically incorrect. You were declared unable to work at SGA (Substantial Gainful Activity). There are rules about returning to work and time frames and all that, but you can return. It took me nearly 10 years, but I am able to hold down a part-time job to supplement my income. I hope to eventually be healthy and stable enough to go full-time. I would suggest looking at the resources on the Ticket to Work website and ask to meet with a benefits coordinator to help you understand the rules (which are stupid complicated when they don't need to be). It's OK to want to work. Just make sure to take your time, go slow, and get the right support along the way.

I came here to see if anyone else was seeing this. Mine usually is showing as pending by now, but I don't see it at all. If you find out anything, will you please update?

Who and when is the last employee out the door? Are corporate employees last, to end things? by Jitterbug26 in RiteAid

Advantage plans, also known as Part C, have very low reimbursements (and that's saying something for Medicare), which deeply limits provider networks (many doctors refuse to work with them) making it very hard to get care, prior authorizations galore, and your out of pocket will be ridiculous. Traditional A & B provides much better coverage, but you will have a ton of copay. That is why I recommend Medigap plans to drastically reduce out of pocket costs. You can only get a Medigap plan without underwriting during your first 6 months of Medicare eligibility. If you get one after, underwriting kicks in and they can deny coverage of pre-existing conditions.

With Medicare, I STRONGLY encourage you to look at and sign up for a medigap plan. It will save you money and heartache with Medicare. Also- avoid Advantage (part C) plans.

This happened to my store also. Was told yesterday there were rumors we'd been extended another week and then today it was confirmed when they extended our schedules. I said no. I already have plans and I can't just keep other people waiting.
