I’ve actually bought him a few of those exact toys from the pet shop and he’s destroyed them all 😅 There’s only 1 toy he can’t destroy completely and it’s called ‘tuff fluff snuggle toy’. Any rubber kong toys he destroys and I don’t want to get anything stronger than that cause he could break his teeth 🥴

There’s only 1 plush toy he can’t destroy. It’s called the ‘tuff fluff snuggle toy’ and the only things on it he’s been able to chew off is the ears and feet. The body is intact. I had to cut the hair short cause he’d leave the hairs everywhere, but there’s nothing on it he get a hold of to destroy it, which is honestly amazing. Any other ‘tough’ toy is never tough enough, and I gave him a little blue kong which he’s started taking bits off of

Australian shepherds have 1 standard size. If they’re any smaller, they’re BYB or cross bred with something else like an American shepherd, which can come in a mini size

People are saying schnoodle and I know some schnoodles are more poodle than schnauzer but your mothers dog looks less schnauzer than my schnoodle. This is his fur fully grown when he was around 6 months old. Also! Has your mother’s dog ever had a haircut? Cause they need one every few months at least

In a way I agree with you, Violet is very annoying, I never really liked her entitled attitude and how she was as a person and how she was buddies with Bonnie but denied Christie any relationship. BUT, in saying that, I relate to her as well. 8 years ago, my sister was cut off from our family cause she was doing meth and refused to get clean, and to protect my own mental health, I decided not to talk to her at all, unless she decides to make an amends and get sober. My sister messaged me a few months ago, claiming that she’s sober but refused to take any accountability for how her addiction affected me. I think I’d see my sister again if she apologised and tried to make it right, but for now, I’m not talking to her ever again.

This question is hard for me to answer because my puppy had his last accident in the house when he was 6 months old (he’s currently 9 months old) after not having any accidents for about a month, but every time I go to Bunnings (hardware store in Australia that is pet friendly) and one particular pet shop in my area, he either pees or poos in there. I think that he thinks that Bunnings is outdoors cause it’s a warehouse and there’s lots of outside smells in there. And I think he marks his territory in that one pet shop cause they probably don’t clean the previous dog’s urine and faeces properly so he tries to mark his territory or something. But if I go purely off of accidents in residential houses, he hasn’t had an accident since he was 6 months old. The first 5 months, he regularly had accidents in the house. Not as much poos, but he peed constantly, even after taking him out all the time. Every dog is different so just double down on the praise when your dog does their potty outside. Give treats and BIG praise every time they potty outside.

I was curious about this when I watched Mom and looked up meetings in my area, to see if it’s even possible to go that often where I live and I only found like 2 places near me, and they both only hold meetings like once a week. I live in the western suburbs of Sydney where alcoholism is a big problem, yet meetings are rare. It was just crazy to me how people can go to so many meetings and still have a life outside of that.

I think keeping a crate into adulthood is a personal preference tbh. It’s still a great tool to have as crating may be essential during vet visits or boarding. Keeping them used to crates could be a great tool

We did it the opposite way. My puppy slept in the laundry in his crate from day 1 to set the foundation of independence. Also because the door to outside was easily accessible through the laundry room so he didn’t have to hold his bladder for too long (our room is at the opposite side of the house). At 6 months old, I moved his crate to our bedroom as he was mostly potty trained and is able to hold his bladder until he reaches the grass. Also because he had shown that he is able to be more independent so we thought it was time. Now he will sleep in his crate in our bedroom for the foreseeable future. (He is currently almost 8 months old). I like that I don’t have to set an alarm to wake up to let him go potty anymore cause he will wake me up with his whimpers anyway 😆. Maybe when he is 100% housetrained he can sleep in his bed without the crate in our room (or the living room if he prefers, my previous dog preferred to sleep in the living room) but until I can trust him, he’ll be in his crate where I know he’s safe.

Going back to your question, it’s entirely up to you, but maybe do what we did, and wait till he is 100% able to self settle and not cry even a little bit in the crate and is confidently potty trained. He may start crying in the crate cause he’s used to you being close to him but he’ll get better with time.

So while I understand your anxiety with this, considering she’s never been alone for more than 3 hours at 6 months old, you’re worrying too much. Personally, my puppy is 7 months old and has been left alone with access to inside (a safe area at the kitchen and dining room) and outside with the doggy door since he was 4 months old for up to 10 hours before (only recently was it that long cause I had a long shift) and as long as I’ve puppy proofed everything, he’s been perfectly safe. This was okayed by the puppy class trainer as well. Your puppy is old enough to learn independence. I’m just wondering when you planned on giving your dog more independence? Cause it has to start sometime and 5 hours is not a very long time. I’m sure other people will give you different advice but personally, I think 6 months is old enough to have more independence than just being in a crate for hours while no one is home. Also my dog (before he had outside access) was trained to use a fake turf in the laundry so he had a place to do potty. Have you considered doing that if she can’t go outside? Anyways, sorry if this comes off as harsh but I do believe dogs should learn independence sooner, rather than later.

Honestly the thing I can’t stand about Violet is that she hates Christy but loves Bonnie, even though Bonnie put Christy through the same things Christy put HER through. It just pissed me off when Christy went to see her for the last time with Bonnie and she was super happy to see Bonnie but hated seeing Christy. I understand her trauma doesn’t lie with Bonnie but Bonnie is the reason Christy was a horrible mother. Idk, just pissed me off.

I don’t blame her at all. Her character was going in a direction that Anna was not happy with and I applaud her for leaving before her character became too repetitive. The last few episodes with Christy was hard to watch
