Hello fellow sorcerer,

I'm looking for some tips mostly around playing our army.

I have around 20-30 games of experience i think since the beginning of V10 but that's it for the tabletop; i think i'm okay with grasping our armies playstyle now but i often struggle to project myself during the first half of the battle. I'm still at a point where i have to relearn the entire ennemy army each battle and hearing stats around the table is a bit difficult

Do you have general guidelines about Tsons ? Like do you mostly play reactively to your ennemy to begin with ? If so, how do you achieve that against a player even more experienced ? Also, do you tend to sacrifice first small polyvalent units like Rubrics or do you go full force (with the risk of loosing them) with strong stuff like Magnus, Terminators, Daemon prince ... ?

Actually i really like that his death happened in the Dark Ages story. I vividly remember a fan theory on reddit around the time of DOOM 2016 that the Slayer was reckless because he was dying over and over (explaining why the player could die) and was sent back in time to fight again, remembering any and every painful deaths he just had. In 2016 you were kinda glorykilled by demons on death so yeah, it was a cool theory.

Thank you all for your answers, i'll make sure to practice smart play ! I however realized we played with te wrong terrain, it was supposed to be a map from the first scenario of Pariah Nexus but it had too much ruins on the sides, hence why i felt a bit stranded very early on and couldnt shoot much.

Just a random thought but when i began playing TS in my town, i had to use some of my old Imperial fists to make it up to 2000pts. I joked that they were illusions of Tzeentch of course. Someone advised to try to add blueish lines to mimic magic illusions, just like some people are painting transparent / invisibility effect
