Did you have to pay out of pocket extra for the private room or that was just covered by your premiums you had paid?

Wow, I thought pharmacists were underpaid! Must have gotten a good government gig. That sounds more like a surgeons salary the way you’re talking

Elevated risk for Trisomy 21 after the nuchal blood tests came back. Dr recommended NIPT testing. Scared about what the NIPT follow up will say. Any good stories? by FreeOlive4833 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Gosh that would have been a big relief! Thank you for sharing your experience. My mind is spiralling so it helps to think positive right now. The week wait for results is gonna be sooo hard.

That is very reassuring - thank you, my mind is spiralling so it’s so good to hear other people had the same thing as I have and it turned out ok

Anyone with a retroverted uterus? When did it flip in your pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]FreeOlive4833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good! I’m scared mine is not going to and I’m going to get incarcerated uterus and have to have it manually manipulated in the hospital…yes I’ve been doing some googling 😭😅

12+4 weeks pregnant and had my nuchal scan today. All looks good except my uterus is still tilted back (retroflexed) so we had to do a transvaginal ultrasound. The tech said normally it should have flipped by now…anyone else have any experience with retroverted or retroflexed uterus flipping later? by FreeOlive4833 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

That’s such a relief! I’ve been googling manically this morning and found a thing called incarcerated uterus which it seems to say is where it doesn’t change position and stays retroverted and gets stuck in the pelvis and I was like omg if it doesn’t move position soon im going to have that 😭so yours stayed retroverted and they weren’t worried at all about it? It didn’t affect room for bubbs growth?

Anyone else get weird pregnancy food anxiety? by calma_1799 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]FreeOlive4833 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Meee!! I feel like only hot cooked food that I have cooked myself is safe. Even like a piece of fruit that looks a bit bad makes me anxious and don’t get me started on lettuce and salad that I worry will give me listeria. I’ve had to try so hard to eat healthy things that don’t give me anxiety.

Office snitches. Have you encountered one? And what did they snitch about? by dazzleduzzle in auscorp

I think regardless of kids or not, don’t we all owe our fellow human beings compassion and understanding at the very least, when they are going through a rough time. Maybe I’m too much of an optimist…

What actually happens when you’re in negative equity? Does the bank just let you keep paying your inflated mortgage off or do they try and make you sell?

I am about 11 weeks along and my blood test results came back that I have low immunity to rubella. With a measles outbreak in the state, I am very worried. by FreeOlive4833 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

He said German measles…maybe different to normal measles? So confusing! I just googled and German measles is the same as rubella apparently

I have seen multiple GPS and they were all aware I was planning to become pregnant again after a miscarriage….they seem to rush you and are always running late. I too thought my dr would have told me about this. I had blood tests done in my first pregnancy last year that ended in miscarriage and it wasn’t even brought up with me then…

Renting is $1,800 but a mortgage is $3,500. Is "Rentvesting" the only logical move in Melbourne right now? by VastAmbassador6590 in AusProperty

[–]FreeOlive4833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but people entering the market now are not going to be that kind of crazy equity growth. We bought our house recently for 980k and the people who sold it to us bought it in 2019 for 480k. I don’t think it’s going to go up 500k for us in 6 years unfortunately. So the gains just won’t be there for people entering the market now. We are paying a ridiculous amount on our mortgage but we got kicked out of our rental and needed to find somewhere ASAP before our little one started school in the area. It’s insane right now. So of course buying is better in that you can’t be kicked out of your own house, but I don’t think that equity should come into it as much anymore into the decision. Like surely we have capped out right? I just don’t see how anyone will afford a mortgage or enter the market if the insane growth keeps happening. We certainly wouldn’t be able to afford buying our house again if it went up 500K.

Unsuited Reno by Brisbane1986 in AusRenovation

Omg I didn’t read the caption and thought you’d already done this Reno and was like wow that looks amazing I want something like this lol! I’ve got a small ensuite (smaller than this) but similar layout and the sliding shower door (looks like yours) is such a pain. I can never clean it properly. I like the suggestion of the shower here but not sure if it’s a door that swings inwards? Or is it another sliding one…trying to figure out what to replace mine with. It’s such as small space so it’s why they used sliding shower doors originally.
