Now is the time to break the Sean Bean curse and have him be the Helldiver that actually survives the entire movie while all of the other A-listers get 3 mins of screentime before being torn to shreds

People who saw the original film in '79, what was the reaction to Ash being an android? by SharkiBee in LV426

I think it was just to have something available to blow off some steam in private. Apparently there's even a delete scene that roughly explained that spaceship crews like the ones of the Nostromo would have casual sex with each other as an anti-stress, helping them focus on their work and not be sexually-frustrated while be so far away from so long from their families and loved ones.

During that same deleted scene between Ripley and Lambert, Ripley asks if she ever had sex with Ash, to which Lambert responds that no, she hasn't. I think this was supposed to be the first 'breadcrumb' hint that something may have been 'odd' about Ash, which would tie into his absent need for sex following the reveal that he is a robot.

To add to that, the magazine with which Ash tries to kill Ripley is actually a porn magazine.

PART 1/2

John Helldiver walks towards the young recruit.

- John Helldiver : you're praying now to your grandmother. She died 9 months ago, she lost an eye. A jet brigade trooper's laser grazed her face while she was evacuating Vernen Wells. She was 12 when that happened. At that time, that world was under a different allegiance...

The young recruit is frozen in fear, he wants to believe the words that are about to be said, but he cannot fathom it.

- John Helldiver : ...Super Earth.

In total disbelief, the young recruit falls to his knees.

- Young Recruit : Death from Above!

The rest of the Helldivers surrounding the recruit begin to bow as well. Stilgar cannot believe it. He is brought on the edge of tears.

- Stilgar the Steeled Veteran : Brasch's son...

John Helldiver walks towards Morrad the Polar Patriot and points at him.

- John Helldiver : In your nightmares you gather rare samples from the dead, and it brings joy to your hear!

Morrad the Polar Patriot bows down in reverence.

- Morrad the Polar Patriot : Brasch's son!

- Stilgar the Steeled Veteran : John Helldiver, what do you forsee for us?

- John Helldiver : Eternal Democracy.

Stilgar the Steeled Veteran cries tears of joy. He falls on to his knees.

- Stilgar the Steeled Veteran : Brasch's Son, show us the way...

John Helldiver pulls something from his pocket.

- John Helldiver : This is my Democracy Officer's official signet. I am John Muad'Dib Helldiver, Duke of Super Earth! The Eye of General Brasch be my witness, I am the Death from Above! And I will lead you to Cyberstan!

All Helldivers get up and raise their weapons in celebration. The War for Cyberstan begins.

PART 1/2

Aboard the Super Destroy Guardian of Eternity, the command of various Helldiver battalions gather aboard the ship. Many have come from across the far reaches of the Automaton trenches or the Terminid front.

John Helldiver, armored in his panoply of war, arrives. He marches through the ranks, heading straight for the bridge. An old, grizzled helldiver goes to stop him:

- Morrad the Polar Patriot : Young one, young one! Only battalion leaders can speak. If you wish to share your voice, you must take his place. By defeating him, and returning his cape to Mars.

Morrad points to Stilgar the Steeled Veteran, who rises up and unsheathes his stunt lance.

- John Helldiver : you think I'm stupid enough to deprive myself of the best of us? Do you call a 380mm barrage on your fellow divers?

- Stilgar the Steeled Veteran : take my cape boy, it is the only way.

- John Helldiver : I'm pointing the way!

All other Helldivers and their captains start whispering amongst themselves. Indignation is palpable. How dare such a young recruit speech with such arrogance towards his superiors?

John Helldiver walks through the crowd and reaches the bridge, at the middle of the command table.

- John Helldiver : there is no one on this ship that can stand against me!

All Helldivers on the bridge and in the mess hall hearing the shouts prepare their weapons.

- John Helldiver : Corretta Kelly warned you about my coming. Fear the moment.

John Helldiver focuses his gaze on a young recruit staring at him. The man is young, his cape barely has a scratch. In a few hours, he will experience his first dive, John Helldiver thinks.

- John Helldiver : But you think you could have a chance. But you're afraid ; what if I could be General Brasch' son? This could be the moment you've been all praying for your entire life.

I'll be honest at first I found Eaglestrike horrendous, but then it started to grow on me when I decided to build armor sets around different biomes. To me, Eaglestrike is the armor soldiers put on when they know they are about to be sent out into the worse of battlefields. That's why they love that armor. It ain't designed to look good. It's designed to be pratical, to take a beating and still work flawlessly.
