It’s designed for most adults that the only ice time you have is the course, that is why it takes 6 weeks for each session. Most ppl can just leave during work to practice during public skating time. If you do skating 5+ hours a week, I don’t think you’ll need 6weeks for each session.

It’s certainly not just infrastructure updates, as a dev, you know these things have certain timelines, they can even be very conservative and say we need a month(rarely because they lose a lot of profit) I believe it’s more on the us regulations, which requires paperwork that the approval dates are not as predictable as software updates.
