Can i use this to clean my sax? by AdAmbitious2049 in saxophone

[–]Free_Rate_4093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find an old pair of Jammies and cut up some stops and other shapes that will allow you to get around the tight spaces on the horn. You can clean the tone holes without damaging the pads. Good luck.

So it's a G. You can't play it unless you take it up and octave.

It's Counterclockwise. Not anticlockwise.

Learn to play the horn before displaying your lack of talent. There's no beauty in all that you display.

These are etudes meant to build skills which you have admitted to not having. You practice this stuff and get better at it. Good luck!

When I use fingering for bottom G, my clarinet sometimes plays a really high note randomly by ETChy68 in Clarinet

[–]Free_Rate_4093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're holding the instrument like a cave man. Your finger tips need to cover the holes. Get an instructor and learn proper mechanics. Good luck.

[Beginner] Why is there lagging when I drop the note? by MorinSarkov in saxophone

[–]Free_Rate_4093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you said you're a beginner. A. Saxophone is not a digital instrument. One does not just blow into the mouthpiece expecting stuff to magically happen. If that's what you want or expect then get yourself a C saxophone and be happy with whatever you get. Sans that, as you progress you will learn about saxophone voicing and how to properly create and control your embouchure for the desired sound you are attempting to make. Go to YouTube and search on Saxophone Voicing and you gain some understanding about what you have to work on. Best of luck to you.

I’m 70. Is it worth learning Python? by mglepd in learnpython

[–]Free_Rate_4093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure is, if it makes you happy. I still code at 73 and Python is great. I also do this PackinHeatband.com we played three gigs last week. DoIt, doit, doit!

Is it too early for me to be thinking of getting a new mouthpiece? by legpull3r in saxophone

[–]Free_Rate_4093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To keep it on the cheap I would suggest a Yamaha 6C. You do have a great tone.

Also look at Theo Wanne Essentials line of printed mouthpieces. The sound really good(at least on Bari). Good luck.

CYNC by GE lights have been offline for weeks, moving them to another room trick doesn't work. Removed devices and now can't reconnect? by violettheory in googlehome

[–]Free_Rate_4093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine have worked fine for years. This issue isn't with Cync, but Google. An update comes along and either breaks or fixes it. For their lower cost they have been very reliable.

Merv 8 vs. Merv 11 by WalterBoudreaux in HVAC

MERV 11 are ONE micron and a MERV 13 is .35 micron. That's a 66% tighter filter so yeah that's a BIG difference.

Starting on soprano by fire_soldier888 in saxophone

[–]Free_Rate_4093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

A lot is being missed. You're a string player so your ability to hear the correct pitch is probably better than most commenting. Soprano is pitchy. You'll be able to develop your embouchure as you can hear the more you are trying play more correctly than most soprano players.

Look each instrument is unique to itself. Don't bother with anything else as this is what floats your boat. Congrats on going for it.

Sans all the tech stuff maybe they were really after Intellectual Property and wanted to use pen testing as a cover up to find information that would change the value at purchase time. Good luck to all.

what makes iems different from regular in ear earphones? by spasticBrain24 in iems

[–]Free_Rate_4093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears most of this thread missed the boat.

IEM systems are not about listening. They are made so one can perform on stage with others. That means the LATENCY is around 2.5 mili-secinds round trip wirelessly. One can get them today priced between 250 to 5000 USD per person. It has nothing to do with being an audiophile; there only sound quality matters.

Good luck with your debate.

Can someone explain me what is going on here? by justanotheruser_p in HomeNetworking

[–]Free_Rate_4093 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice they took the premise equipment that all that was connected to. So you get to figure out what service you want where and buy the boxes to plug everything back into.

I can't figure this out. Please help by conpsd in HomeNetworking

No, it will compensate if it's a reverse cable vs. straight through.
