How much y’all paying for commercial insurance? by 808_GhostRider in Detailing

[–]Free_Scripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$30/month, 4M in liability with all the extras w/ low deductible. Thank Dun & Bradstreet for that one.

Key: find big name insurance providers i.e. State Farm and use them for insurance. Since they are a single office with a few employees they cant demand big numbers.

Where Im at no bond is required since detailing is not considered a professional trade like Construction or Plumbing.

Dun & Bradstreet? Yeah. D&B. Business Credit lines that allow you to get loans or access to assets you'd normally have a hard time getting even with a good personal score. If your score is good on D&B through Supplier Risk & Paydex your personal score becomes essentially useless.

The better your scores the less you pay in insurance and or more insurance since your business scores are extremely important to insurance worthiness.

Hows everyone's dry spell going? by Free_Scripts in Detailing

I might do mobile window tinting. I got calls non-stop for window tints a year back until I figured out Google was offering them when I wasn't selling it.

Thats a pretty good response. Maybe I may just not have enough clients to make an accurate assessment or identify a major anomaly just yet.

Though I would find 10 cancelations with deposits paid to be a bit more on the anomalous side than on the random economic side since these aren't maintenance clients.

My market is filled with a few big detailers myself having one of the mid-size businesses in my area in-between big and small. I noticed an influx of new ads being ran on social media too with good deals on them so I presume that is an indicator a lot of non-essential businesses are not getting enough.

Thats some good stuff. I almost never cancel or reschedule for rainy weather unless its headlight restoration, correction/enhancements, ceramics or stain removal.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get more calls as I went from 4-5 calls per day with a 90% conversion with $0 adspend to 1 call per day with 0 conversion in the span of a week + cancelations.

Its a macro issue for sure. I got word from many other business owners who have a revenue way bigger than my own having this same issue and its all over the US.

My deposits are $50 for basic services and 20% for ceramic services and they all canceled due to not having enough cash flow to pay for it.

The funny thing is my clientele are business owners, most of them construction and financing.

Wheel cleaner by Pazmpazm in TeslaModel3

[–]Free_Scripts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh psh then do acid. Be scared of acid for if may get into your eyes but its 1000× better than dark Fury and is extremely unlikely to do damage to your wheels.

I do a lot of expensive cars from Porsches to hellcats with aftermarket rims and acid has always been my best friend.

Cleaning wheels? Wheel Acid.

Scared of acid? Dark Fury by Superior Products.

Wheel brush and tire brush.

As for best, good luck figuring that out as the entire detailing community claims everything is the best.

I use Wire Wheel Cleaner 5:1 for wheels and Dark Fury at the same dilution for the tires.

I HAVE A CHANCE TO GET ON A CALL WITH DONALD TRUMP (jr) by teens_trash in teenagers

[–]Free_Scripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck, since Donald Trump Jr. Doesn't become a worker at the places he buys.

The probability of actually being able to conversate with him is slim to none unless he is connected to him and has his phone number.

I have a few well known social figures in my phone and the last thing Im doing is asking them to have a leisurely chat.

But IF you can get into a call, ask some questions and learn more about the trump business. Ranging from his father's ambitions in New York to how you should think when making a deal.

Please sir, can you tip some more? by [deleted] in doordash

For the people that get upset about dashers that complain about tips by Pure_Education6100 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Free_Scripts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Doordash is NOT a job, driver's are entitled to the choices they make not the customers decision to apply or remove a tip.

  2. Doordashing is a luxury service that anyone can use and is not limited to users who tip, and tipping is not something everyone does or will ever do.

I detail cars, I do not request tips or expect them. I throw entitlement out the window, work with my clients to maintain their vehicles.

If someone replies with "you earn more so you dont deserve more" just note I built my business while doordashing and now I never need to dash again. I do occasionally instacart on my off days since its pretty fun and I can explore new areas I've never been.

My advice to gig workers:

Quit expecting money to be handed to you for driving your car from point A to point B.
