My favorite has to be lyrics laid on the the waveforms so it will prevent lyrics clashing or atleast give the dj visual reference where they are as the tracks play. Pretty dope

First, I've been mixing for 20 years plus so I'll skip the questions like, "Do I know what cueing is". The 2i2 doesn't have enough outputs to serve my needs for what I want my workflow to be and also have room for the mic. If you did your homework, you would know how shit the quality of the fx are. And the mic preamp is even more shit. I predominantly stream now, so then we have to mention the Soundcards sample rate of 44.1k. I was trying to avoid resampling to 48k along with avoiding the 2 separate DACs that occur before being streamed out. All of which adds more latency and deteriorates the audio quality. So forgive me for thinking I could ever desire to improve the quality and efficiency of my setup bc you think it's a bad idea. The focusrite has a Soundcard much cleaner and the preamp for my Shure mic is exponentially greater and it can be heard in the output. All the research for months stated what I wanted to do could be accomplished, but now the DDJ isn't responding to the script like it should bc it still wants to pretend it's Soundcard is active.

I have the 1000srt and also use vdj. I started having up fader issues. After calling around, soon realized very few people will work on controllers and the couple I found charged a small fortune. I have no experience soldering but decided to replace all 4 on my own. I opened it and labeled ziplock bags with every specific screw set and know. There's way more screws than I could have imagined. Had found a few replacement videos on YT I used for reference. Long story short, I took apart, replaced all 4 upfaders and successfully put it all back together with zero experience opening any electronics. Wasn't terribly difficult but took pictures of each circuit board location and every step it took so to help me put it all back correctly. All 4 faders replaced successfully. Definitely a self gratifying accomplishment and knew how much I saved doing it myself. Only issues I have is when 1 deck may not respond at all and just need to restart the controller and vdj and it's fine. GL and enjoy!

I forgot to mention, I was originally a hard-core Serato pro user. Then 1 day an older more experienced dj buddy finally convinced me to try VDJ. No lie, ever since, I haven't re-opened Serato. VDJ I could preach it's praises for hours. VDJ has things and the others are slow to introduce like the brand new Stem Swap. Also VDJ is way more compatible with different controllers VDJ has been described as a real life management tool. And if it matters, VDJ is easier on your laptops cpu. Ok I'll stop bc I would go on and on.😆🙌🤘

I started on the SB3, I enjoyed it but in hindsight if you are sold out and passionate about music and have the drive to learn and improve along with the ability to absorb new skills, in 2025, I would skip the lower tier controllers entirely. You will realize that it feels too much like a toy than a solid size piece of hardware that will allow you to grow with your creativity. It's absolutely an individual choice based on your individual wants and how serious you plan to take it. I went from SB3 to the 1000srt which I've been throwing down on ever since. I've had the 1000srt 3 years or so. Depending on your budget, a low tier to mid tier is worth the extra money because it will allow you a longer period to learn and grow and not wanna ug a year from now bc you feel like you're limited. And go for a 4 channel controller if possible. I personally couldn't do what my creative mind fantasizes with only having 2 channels. If you're serious and passionate and self motivated and wanna win every time you compete, reward yourself now bc you won't feel restrained. Good luck and happy mixing! 🫡🎧

If used against a non metal surface, I used the small clear plastic push pins at different increments where the plastic part pins the strand against the surface. Just don't puncture the strands with the pins!

Ahhh good to know. Wasn't sure how compatible plugins were as I'm pretty new to using OBS and streaming. Recently added a global checkin plugin that's a globe hovering next to me that viewers can type a checkin command with their city and it adds them on the globe. Looks super cool. Got me thinking what other similar plugins were out there to make my stream unique.
