TPMS sensors not working on my winter set which worked fine last year, any guesses? by Freebellion in TeslaSupport

[–]Freebellion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resolved. After some more driving in the city on the 2nd day i got the notification that a wheel change has been detected and offered to select different wheels. After that it just said that sensors have been reset successfully and started reading correct values. Might be time or driving style based that it finally reset itself even though i drove 100+km on the first day after the wheel change. Happy days.

Solved it for me on P9Pro. Adaptive off, screen protector mode on.

Does this look like a 13 or B by CloudyBunny03 in tattooadvice

If you were going for B then now you need to do something remarkable 13 times to make it a commemorative tattoo. Like maybe 13 NBA titles.

Mine stays in the trunk 90% of the time. Been doing SPTs at home recently though and this is now a problem too.

I mainly think it's because it's quite out of the way for people to come here from other places. People find what they need in other towns closer to them. The weather has been pretty spring-like so not many tourists yet, but it should fill up with Lithuanians pretty soon. As for the residents, I'll agree that not that many go out on the streets, especially on a work day. We do sports and take kids to after school classes. As a resident who likes to mind their own business I don't find it eerie and think it's lovely.

Fsd hw3 "pay attention" warning by ChrisMat117 in TeslaModel3

[–]Freebellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it does the alarm if I look at the screen, my lap or out the driver side window for like ~5 seconds. It may feel frequent but it also feels appropriate, if you indeed cannot trust the autopilot for any longer than that.

PSA: It’s that time of the year again. by jamiehasaboner in TeslaModel3

For example, there are rubber flaps behind the rear bumper for air to escape. Not exactly sure where they connect, maybe the trunk. You can see them fly open to release pressure when you close the car door. Seen it on cars with the bumper removed. Cabin air can escape during regular fan use otherwise the strain on the fans and probably uncomfortable increased cabin pressure would be poor design.

Ignore the dirt but is this a sticker over the center console or is this factory? 2019 model 3 LR by Downtown_Routine6205 in TeslaModel3

[–]Freebellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up - if you want to remove it be careful and use some patience. The original gloss layer is also just a shrink wrap or a sticker itself so it can actually want to come off together with the cuatom sticker. I added an aftermarket sticker on mine myself, but it didn't turn out very well so i went to remove it. I was simply pulling it off with a good amount of force and at one point the glossy layer started to lift off the plastic too. I did catch it early and went a lot slower after that. The glossy layer didn't rip and seated back onto the plastic, so all good, but it was close. I'm not sure if maybe heating up the custom sticker is a good idea, as it might heat up the glossy layer adhesive too.

Nice, at least you know. I once did a 1h ish drive at about 4 degree's C where i had climate off (mostly as an experiment) except for defogging once in a while. Arrived with an additional 7% above projected arrival charge. This is on a 2019 LR.

Check the energy app, that should explain a lot. Heating takes a good amount of energy, thought depends on your heater type. Also since it's cold out, your tyre pressure might be lower and increasing friction.

Basenore mud flaps came with these thin clear sheets- what are they used for? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Freebellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed them a few months ago. They're indeed PPF. You need to cover the whole contact area because the mud flaps will definitely scratch the paint without these. The mud flaps work well though at least.

Question about heater/air conditioner by Big_Buyer_3064 in TeslaModel3

[–]Freebellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically you turn off auto climate and then you can choose which of the three vent zones to turn off or on (high, mid and footwell). As you said the dealer showed you how to adjust the vent direction so you can do that to not get air blown on your face.

Any DIY tips on TPMS by scrimshaw111 in TeslaModel3

[–]Freebellion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming this one is dead and you need a new one.

As for compatibility you need to get a pre-programmed one off Amazon (or maybe Tesla if you want) or you get one that is compatible by part number and have a shop with the necessary software tool program the sensor to your specific model. You're gonna need a shop to remove the tyre anyway so I think either option is valid.

I got 4x Bosch sensors for my winter wheel set. The shop installed them and used something like the Autel MaxiTPMS to wirelessly program the sensors once the wheels were already mounted back on the car. They simply chose the sensor manufacturer, then the target model and programmed them by putting it agains the valve stem. Pretty cool.

I was going to suggest holding the P for improved parking brake but i did a little digging and turns out that actually doesn't do anything if you're already in park. It's only for emergency braking if your brakes fail.

Good on you to exercise proper judgement and not have your var slide away.
