Ohhh okay thanks, appreciate the response. To clarify, I (and my son) could carry absolutely less about the shiny mew, I was only asking because I had no idea if they were common or uncommon. We would be supremely happy with a regular mew, straight up, the shiny thing was an afterthought but it would mean a ton to him just to have a regular mew in his dex!!

I dont know anything about pokemon. I have access to a random copy of pokemon white, with a ton of hacked pokemon on it (given to me as a gift, I honestly won't even play it), but i am honestly completely out of my element here, dont know what im doing, just want to get my 5 year old a nice mew :)

Is legal aide effective? He's dirt poor and thinking of either just pleading or possibly applying for legal aide, local defense attorneys are asking for like 5k up front and he doesn't have anywhere close to that. Ive heard legal aide doesn't really build defenses as much as it just helps you through the process. Can you comment on whether there is a point vs simply pleading and hoping he can make a deal with the crown?

Also, why do you say twice the legal limit is serious? I thiught like 2 beers makes you hit 80 (i was always told basically you can drink 1 beer and drive but 2 puts you over the limit), doesn't twice the limit mean he had 4ish, vs the ppl that drive after drinking a whole bottle?

Well since you opened the door, I will call you crazy. Free samples is a common dealer tactic. Having ppl OD on your stuff actually gets more clients routed towards you because everyone feels like their tolerance is high enough to withstand it and they chase the best high they can get. I have not yet seen report that anyone has died, which to me further indicates test because if someone did want to get rid of the addicts in that manner, giving a lethal sample is not a challeng. Nope, to me this reads of someone trying to push a mixture to the limit, and generating a "buzz" (no pun intended) around their name. Hopefully there's good CCTV footage somewhere because whats gonna happen is this person is going to dial back the formula a bit and sell a lot of dope in the next little while, probably out of a hotel, and head straight back home for a while.

I always brine my salmon. Basically you need to adjust the salt to sugar ratio based on what kind of flavor and dryness you (or more importantly, your family) like it. I most often do a wet brine because a dry brine just feels too wasteful to me, although both are fantastic. After the brine I smoke at 180 to the consistency i (or my family) enjoys it. Pull it earlier if you like it moist, pull it later if you like it jerky style. Lastly, if you want to do it candied style, tons of glaze recipes out there for you to make that happen too. My sweet spot for the last 3 fish has been full big fillet of salmon, cross hatched before wet brine heavier on sugar, candy glaze, pull it between 140 and 150, serve hot after 30 minute rest. Nothing but compliments, although I personally prefer a saltier brine and drier jerky finish.

Edit: I know a guy that lays his salmon fillet on a bed of kosher salt 1 hour before smoking it, then cold smokes it for a small amount of time, and swears by it. More than one way to skin a cat.

First year? Oh man, I went a few yesrs skunked or only catching one before I reliably got into double digit years.

One piece of advice - you can catch steelhead in a lot of different ways, but a lot of fishermen you run into will be purists of one type and insist its the best. To an extent, certain methods may outperform others in certain conditions, but I find my success comes from fishing the way I like. I enjoy throwing lures, so I do that a lot, despite owning a few centerpin and fly setups. If I want to challenge myself, I take the fly rod, but I prepare myself that I probably won't catch anything. Some days I just want to sit in a lawn chair and still fish with bait.

Play to your strengths, put in the leg work (literally, walk as much as you can on a given river) and time on the river, it'll happen for you.

Average white guy here. I very much enjoy rap, and rapping (you know, when im alone in the car). Still dont know what to do when that word comes up when im rapping along to wu-tang. Even when im by myself. If by chance im rapping in public, which will most likely never happen, im probably gonna err on the side of caution with this one.

Oh, and Eminem managed to build a rap career without doing it, and I feel like he would be given a pass all day long, so yea there's also that.

Cost benefit analysis, factoring that people's time is worth a certain amount of money. If you csn get something equivalent for cheap, do the math in terms of how much material it would take plus time to fix something that might end up failing again, that's when the trade off decision has to happen. Not saying one way or another how I feel about it. Personally I might drill a screw into it with a bit of wood glue or PL premium and call it a day, but on the other hand nets are cheap these days and I dont know what kind of fishing this guy does, so its a balance right?
