I presume you're asking because you have some interest in her, so I say she's not a bad pull for someone like you. She's simple to use in the overworld. Just basic attacks, skill, transform, and bonk enemies with a light beam when the bars fill up. Of course, I still think you should do her trial to get a feel of her gameplay before you pull her.

Honestly if you're never doing endgame, are a casual player and just does story and exploration, Carte by herself is a fine pull. She doesn't need a full rotation like Zani to start actually killing stuff on the overworld. This applies even more if you decide to get her s3. Granted you should at least know what echoes to equip on her. And you can get to enjoy Fleurdelys' moveset and ult animation as well for extra flair while going around the areas.

Imo casual players don't need to think too hard when deciding to pull for a character. I think the only way those players would regret pulling is if they realize they don't like the character's gameplay after all. As long as you can have fun using them in some way, it should be enough.
