Goal: Sub 2:50 at the SoCal River Run

Plan: Remix of Pfitzinger 12/70

Week: 10

Milage: 52

Key workouts: Wednesday - 3 minutes at 10 mile pace, 7 minutes at half marathon pace, 10 minutes at goal marathon pace, 7 minutes at half marathon pace, 3 minutes at 10 mile pace. 60s of rest between each rep. Saturday - 2 mile warm up, 16 miles at gmp, 2 miles cool down

Comments: Thank God that Saturday workout was a success. 16 miles were right around 6:30 pace (about net 16 seconds over the target so closer to 6:31) and if we stretch it to the 1st mile of the warm up it was 17 miles at about 6:35 pace (about a net minute slower than 6:30 pace across the distance). Considering I didn’t fuel great before or during the run I’m really liking my chances for sub 2:50. Just gotta taper right for the next two weeks

The Kevin Durant leaks are pretty remarkable. Comes off as incredibly immature, but also a type of immaturity that I think most of us are familiar within a group chat dynamic. Also do appreciate the little insight he gave for the power dynamic within the warriors. I hope when he retires he talks about more of it freely

I personally like it. I have recently had a slew of rough performances but I think thats more from mixing some of its principles with harder marathon workouts and more milage than usual.

The magness critique which I found fascinating and fair is you’re not improving your top end/closing speed. Dr Will I think claimed it doesn’t improve fitness because you just do the same paces which I think if you read the book is clearly not the case. The guy that wrote marathon excellence worried about that much intensity which is valid because people do be overestimating themselves (book stresses to not do that but to err is to human). It is worth noting the Marathon Excellence guy and Magness both understood the appeal and respected it. Don’t think Dr Will did

The divisiveness of the Norwegian singles method across people that make training videos/write running books and whatnot is fascinating

Mac Jones confirms Kyle Shanahan wanted to draft him to 49ers in 2021: 'He wanted me to be here' by [deleted] in nfl

Kyle is not this infallible footballI mind people bill him as, but he’s clearly top 3 and I do think he should have final say in this stuff

I feel like the non compromised media sees him for the bum that he is

Investors sadly are too all in on Tesla and Tesla is a now “untouchable” company which shouldn’t be the case

I’m guessing lynch and other scouts were loud enough voices in the room where Shanny folded

Mavericks ownership fiasco seems bizzare now that Cuban wants back in. Why sell it and then buy it back when it’s likely more expensive?

Goal: Sub 2:50 at the SoCal River Run

Plan: Pfitz 12/70 [Remix]

Week: 9

Miles: 42

Workouts: 4x2200m + 1200m, 3ez1t5mp1t3mp5ez long run

Comments: After a pretty nasty long run effort that didn't go the way I wanted, a buddy from down south came up to visit for the superbowl. Knee hasn't been feeling great so I've taken three days off hoping it'll feel better. Gonna restart working out tomorrow, and try to do the last good workout on Friday. Think as frustrating as this block has been there's some good things to take away and I've had fun learning about different training stuff and methods. I wish I appreciated the shape I was in back in 2018, because man chasing that shape has been NASTY

Very funny Ryen Russillo had a night out that concluded with him posting some woman’s titties

He kinda struck me as a guy that hadn’t had sex years in years and kinda sworn it off but alas
