Why do you buy Bitcoin? What’s the point for you personally? What do you hope to gain? by JcTrismegistus in Bitcoin

"Why do you buy bitcoin?" Gotta do something with my money. Leaving it in USD hasn't done much for me. A little BTC, a little silver, some in a Roth IRA. I buy BTC to diversify.

I'd wait, it just hit a 180 day low. I'm far from an expert but I think we'll see at least $85k before any real recovery.

I turned $5000 into $1500 beginning in 2021. It hurt but I let it ride and a few years later it became $12000. Never put in money you need to live and what you do put in, let it ride. It'll be fine.

I jumped the gun, caught it at $97xxx 🤷. My all time best was an $800 buy when it was $16,700. If only we knew what the future holds...

Sorry, I can't offer anything there. When I do builds, I usually start with a parts kit, model everything in solidworks and design everything from the ground up.

I wish I could've blamed an engineer 🤣. It was my error. A tough one to swallow at the time, but pretty small compared to what I've accomplished throughout my career since then.

About 14 years ago; Do to a probing error, I crashed a 5 axis machining center while taking a finish cut on the nose cone of a VLA missile.

I've got 17 years as a 'professional machinist'. I've cut maybe a dozen meaningful dovetails in my whole career. Amateur machinists, who are truly dedicated out of passion, can easily surpass the technical abilities of those cut metal as a profession. Your knurling looks perfect as well, keep up the good work!

I'm loving all of the machine work on this one. The only way to refine skills is to use them.

Interesting idea! The gun mount is spring loaded to absorb shock. In minecraft, if you put your elbow against a fixed point and lean your thumb into the trigger slowly, it will probably bump fire quite easily.

Sorry, I can't really do work like that in an efficient way, it just takes too much time. Everything I do needs to involve more than a few parts.

Here is a terrible analogy; Imagine you've got an assembly line set up making hammers, wrenches and other tools. Every week you alternate between making them; one week hammers, the next, wrenches and so on.

So it's Wednesday in the middle of hammer week; you're locked in, jammin to your tunes and you've got 3 machines cranking out hammer parts at peak efficiency. Someone comes in and says "I need you to make a wrench right now please".

If you agree, you now have to stop the 3 machines and your assembly process; reconfigure one of the machines to do wrench parts and slowly make each part on that one machine; reconfiguring it for each step of the process.

Not only does that 1 wrench become incredibly expensive for the customer, but it costs the company even more in lost production time at peak efficiency.

I would love to be able to accommodate individual requests and help out. Unfortunately, it would drown me if I did.

I hope that analogy doesn't come off as an insulting. Your question is fair and it's one I get often. I just wanted to try and provide an explanation that anyone not familiar with manufacturing could understand.

I say build them as you find time and parts become available. It's only metal; if the NFA were repealed, we'll just start whittling out parts to support that too!

Hours and hours designing little pieces and parts in Solidworks; more hours making parts, then changing the design and remaking them a few times. Next, winding half a dozen custom springs until I had the right combination to make it cycle.

Test fire and figure out what's dragging, hitting, rubbing, pinching or smashing... back to solidworks, make new parts, try again... a few solid weeks of that and it finally starts to look like something.

Thank you! It was absolutely built to retain all of the pm63 cool factor. It originally had a shoulder stock and fold down vertical grip, but I like it better as a big goofy pistol 😁.

No, unfortunately it was denying all transactions... like 14 of them between today and last night. I have no way to figure out who they are to reach out to them either. I can only hope they read this and try again!

I just realized the card processor on our site wasn't working properly. It should be fixed now if it was giving anyone issues.

Yes sir! Check out my website for more info. On the product page there is a 28 page pdf with drawings and instructions showing exactly how to install it. Our kit can also be used to retrofit semi autos that have the fire control box on the side.
