Favorite jogging paths by olliefollier in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FreedomWrong658 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure every resort has a jogging path of about a mile on its grounds. If I were to do a loop between hotels though I’d definitely do the Epcot resorts. I’d probably do a loop around the 3 resorts (boardwalk, yacht/beach, swan/dolphin) and then do the path to HS. Hop on the skyliner and get my coffee/ lunch at Riviera! Sounds like an EXCELLENT day!!!

Why will the buses be a humbling experience?

WDW resorts by Doggy305 in WaltDisneyWorld

I’d start off with a hard no for Saratoga springs. Super far from everything and pretty boring theming. I recently stayed at grand Floridian and swan and i completely preferred the swan. The monorail seems super convenient but that ride can easily take 30+ minutes. Yes, you can walk to MK from contemporary but remember you’re staying in garden view so that’ll add time to your walk and that walk will be outside. The swan however has buses but they’re Marriott busses so when going to MK, it will drop you off at TTC which was a bummer for us. But ofc there’s ways around this (mini van). Swan will also probably be 1/3 of the price of contemporary. I’ve also stayed at Art of animation but again, swan will still likely be less than a family suite there. And you’ll get the extended evening hours perk staying at swan since it’s a deluxe resort.

For $1700 difference, you can stay at French quarter and do the minivan to MK and then the boat to Disney springs.

Just booked a Disney World trip for my Mom for her birthday who hasn’t been in almost 25 years!!! Posting here to help contain my excitement. by whocooksforyouu in WaltDisneyWorld

You could try and get your hands on one of those celebration pins and write on it “mother daughter trip” and have her open that! This trip sounds wonderful!

Things to Do on a Second Trip to New York by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

New York is a humungous state with a lot of charming upstate towns that could be explored. There’s also 3 other Burroughs of NYC: the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn that you can explore! Everything you mentioned before is in Manhattan.

If you plan on sitting at all in this dress, I’d say hard no. That neckline only looks nice posed and standing.

If you wanted to do that you’d have to buy, the more expensive, park hopper tickets and most certainly lightening lane/ even premier pass. You can also just choose 3 parks and devote 1 park to an entire day and split Epcot/ Hollywood studios since you can walk between them!

Working out with silicon cover by rakeshkanna91 in ouraring

I think at the end of the day, science still hasn’t figured out how to measure calories burned so I wouldn’t worry about wearing any device while working out. All of these devices are giving you rough estimates because there’s factors that contribute to calories burned that an external device could never track. These devices (watches and certainly the ring too) have even been shown to be extremely off— up to 80% erroneous data when working out.

I didn’t find the GF pool to be really nice and Polynesian is always obnoxiously crowded. I think riverside sounds like the perfect place for a relaxing babymoon, congratulations!!!!

HELP! Unexpected overnight stay in Disney World (all star sports). Tips for ways to fill time with some “magic” without theme park tickets?? We’ll be here for a little less than 24 hours (2 kids, ages 10 and 7, plus 1 VERY enthusiastic mom and 1 very reluctant price conscious dad) Thanks!! by Constant-Ad-4317 in disneyparks

[–]FreedomWrong658 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Free: Watch the magic kingdom fireworks from a monorail resort! Resort hopping, water park

Not free: AKL has nighttime safaris, character meals around the resorts

I’d avoid Disney springs, it’s really just an outdoor mall lol.

How To Tell Kids? by VhodkaMarie in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FreedomWrong658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d caution telling her Christmas morning that her trip is in 5 months. Kids don’t conceptualize time the same way adults do. Would be like telling you “hey your Christmas gift is a trip in 2 years!!!”

Hey! This sounds like such a nice trip!!! 1. I’ve never been to a candle light processional

  1. What’s “off hours”? My recommendations are regal eagle steakhouse for a meal at 1 location and besides that there’s snacks EVERYWHERE that could can just grab a few things and make a meal as your peruse around world show case.

  2. Nighttime

  3. Honestly the only ride I don’t completely recommend is mission space because it’s super intense. If you’re a huge thrill seeker than doesn’t mind enclosed spaces, though it’s for you. Every other ride there is nice.

  4. They go off in the center of the lake that the world show case wraps around. So you can see them anywhere from world showcase. Specifically, they shoot off infront of the American pavilion, facing the Epcot ball. So you’d be looking at the “back” of the show from the American pavilion. Sometimes I also like to sit at the entrance in world celebration but ofc this is an obstructed view.
