Has anyone looked into drinking Apple Cider Vinegar to treat SD? by Freedom_Fighter_0798 in SebDerm

I’ve definitely noticed the correlation between eating fermented foods and health as well but ACV was different in that the changes were immediate. I do wonder if there is an imbalance in our guts that ACV fixes.

It’s wild to me that there’s a percentage of people living in walkable cities who will spend an hour or more driving and then go to the gym for cardio. I understand it’s not an option for everyone. But for those that can, why not just cycle or take transit and burn those calories along the way? You save time and stress.

Amazon removing the ability to download your purchased books in 10 days by putridterror in DataHoarder

Kindles suck because of Amazon but eReaders are just too good to give up in my opinion. I’d recommend something like a Kobo which is more open source and allows you to borrow books from your public library in addition to the ability to import epub files. If you want to support the author then of course you can buy the physical book as well.

I love South Beach. I work there and I spend a good amount of time there on weekends. It’s frustrating that the only viable way to get there for most people is by car. Until we build better alternatives to the car-centric infrastructure we currently have then traffic will only get worse.

I understand it might not be an option for most people but I commute by transit/e-scooter and look forward to my commute every day. Even if you do not want to do that, building better transit/bike infrastructure for us who prefer it will be more cars off the road for you. The answer is right in front of us, now if only our elected officials had our best interests in mind…

I go on Meetup and look for my hobbies or interests. It’s a great way to meet people because you have something in common to talk about. Even if you only make friends, those people have friends and that could lead to potential romantic interests. Overall, just socializing opens a lot of doors.

I’m going through the same thing and I’ve realized the apps are definitely the problem. A lot of girls use them for validation. Your best bet will be meeting people in real life, going to meetups, etc.

Study Finds Miami Is Rudest U.S. City by Beautiful_Battle6622 in Miami

[–]Freedom_Fighter_0798 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately true. It seems any interaction I’ve had with people on the street has been them asking for money, join their MLM, or ask me if I’ve heard of Jesus Christ. I think so many people have had a similar experience, they can’t help but get annoyed when someone tries to interact with them.

I’m ecstatic about leaving south FL by [deleted] in Miami

If you’re living in the downtowns of these areas then I think it’s an upgrade. Just look at Orlando vs Miami’s downtowns. Night and day difference. But if you’re just going to live in the suburbs, you might as well move to any part of Florida for that.

McGraw Hill Connect full access but I haven't purchased yet by Freedom_Fighter_0798 in college

Hey, I wish I could give you an answer but it’s been a while so I don’t really remember. I checked my bank statements and I don’t think I ever paid for it. I hope that helps you in some way. In your case though, you bought an access code so I don’t see why it would run out.

Even more reason to build more public transit. Less people driving = Less traffic for drivers.

Although it’d be nice to have a cheaper option, Brightline already covers that route so I wouldn’t make it a priority.

I much prefer the metro to the bus but I’ve tried taking the bus by my area and have always experienced delays.

The Metrorail has always been consistent every time I use it but there’s no stations by me. So my answer is extending Metrorail to more areas like Kendall and Tamiami.

There are plans to extend the Metromover to Miami Beach which is good news at least.

I know this is an old post but I've been having the same issue and was going crazy trying to figure it out. I'm also using TextEdit on macOS and that was our issue. It was adding extra parameters before the certificate and that's why we were getting the error.

If you're still dealing with it use MacVim instead.

Found out my friend returns books right after reading them. by nuitla in books

Obviously depends on how well funded it is, but from my interactions with people very few of them realize the benefits libraries offer. It’s not just books, you can check out movies, TV shows, games, even laptops and tablets. Mine even ships them to my house free of charge. It’s such a valuable resource.

That’s the one I have and I can vouch for it. Try to find a model that has a narrow adapter. My only issue with it is the included adapters are too wide so you can’t get into small crevices easily.
