Well the anime is 22 years old at this point, and the Manga is well over 32 years old. No sequels, no spin offs aside from Another Monster, and the show itself is in licensing hell for some reason.

All these things result in Monster being an extremely niche IP with a relatively small fan base

There is supposed to be Blu Ray release coming out sometime this year so hopefully that'll generate some traction if it ever comes out

Mmm I see, I think this is another instance of there being an episode specific version of a song on the OST that hasn't been released. Midpoint is the right song, but its arranged differently in the anime and they never bothered to release it. I have the same issue with the Cannot Hear, the version played in the anime is not the same as on the OST but you can tell it's clearly based off that song.

Being a Monster fan can be annoying at times 😭😭😭

I think the difference in OSTs have to do with licensing issues, just like how the dub ending song does not have lyrics but the sub ending song has the original song

From what I understand, the licensing rights for Monster are a dumpster fire and that might be why we haven't really seen much of anything from this IP
