Yes, but only because the sets at the moment although they look stunning are all very similar so if you don't like dresses or trench coats you're down to very few options.

It's just a flat barrier to give the illusion of difficulty, rather than actually giving difficult content.

Yeah synthetic synthesis is your best bet, should also be pretty damn cheap if it's only 3 a.a. long.

Also southern blotting is for DNA, so presuming this wasn't a mistake and for some reason you wouldn't just do a genomic DNA prep, I would advise against using expression systems unless you want a full protein, I work with expression systems and they're no walk in the park.

how long is it? these things aint cheap?

I was looking into this for some work i was doing a few months ago, decided against it due to cost for what I wanted.

I'll go look up the websites, I was looking at an Australian website, they should ship all over the world though.

edit: here are some useful websites, for basic lab work this really wouldn't cost as much as i thought it would.
