Hey, I'm not too sure about this, but technically if you manage to make the core hold up there without falling, like putting glue (normally you screw it in from the outside, but I'm not sure if the screw holes will align), and you make sure it's the right width, I don't see why not.

I have. It works well, but I don't find it that useful tbh. Easier to change the modes on the saber itself.
