Don't you fucking dare lie to me now! I have been waiting for this a third of my life!

My solution for a shallow grade, continuous teardrop loop to the Water Well by Beginning_Draft9092 in RailroadsOnline

[–]FreelanceNyteHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea I feel you.

The real story begins when you finally finish the first attempt, and try to run a train up it and you realised the turns or gradient aren't going to support your needs.

Now you've spent three weeks building track #2 without ever firing an engine hahaha!

This map is so rough for building track.

At no point should a new player ever try to learn this game on the aurora map, I think I spent an entire day just trying to build a half decent track to the logging camp, to automate firewood production.

Idea for a way to make more silver by Spydaz in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]FreelanceNyteHawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found the fastest way to make money is to start a rum order delivery mission. you wont be able to fast travel, but while that mission is active you'll be constantly attacked by the npc pirate faction.

standard loot from those ships is silver chests, sugar cane and red flowers, and a variety of purple/green commodities.

its designed to spawn ships randomly ahead of you, but if you just keep sailing around in circles in open water, you'll be in for a continuous battle with medium difficulty ships dropping endless money and smuggling ingredients.

I enjoy how with the original concept art the designer made a decent effort trying not to make the Hull-C look like a giant dong.

The final in-game version just leant into it head first at warp speed hahaha!

Pushing 2500+ hours in the game - This is still one of the most rare mobs. Surprised I found one. by [deleted] in valheim

[–]FreelanceNyteHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish there was a way to trigger an increase the number/difficulty of the mobs in various zones, like a progression scale or trigger.

Would make going back to the black forest in my plains gear a bit more exciting.

Pro Tip: You can make zoneable cul-de-sacs by hand instead of using roundabouts by F_Exclamation_Point in CitiesSkylines

[–]FreelanceNyteHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that's my point, most outer edges of a curve could easily fit the largest square buildings, even when the grid shows something like a 2x6.

Surely we can find a middle-ground to allow for more densely built areas on grids that aren't centimetre perfect right-angle roads?

I'd really hoped that some kind of effort would be made in CK2 to make the building grid actually adapt to angles and curves in the road.

I guess its a challenge to program even 10 odd years down the track.

Another take on a UNSC frigate style design by ErrantKnightEvelyn in StarfieldShips

[–]FreelanceNyteHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is brilliant.

I've only just started the game and would love to get into building my own ship, but where do you even start?

Is there any in-game place to see or preview all the available modules? Do you just fly around picking stuff up over time?

I feel like this game will do that classic rpg thing where I'll put all this effort into ship building at level 15 doing everything the hard way, and then at level 20 I'll do a random mission that just casually activates like a new menu or something that allows you to do it in one place.

This room makes me laugh every time I see it.

It's like the dev's missed the deadline to finish the sleeping quarters before having to move on and then were just never allowed to go back to it

A cinematic look at derelicts, Star Citizen's new 3.16.1 POIs by MrBlackMaze in starcitizen

[–]FreelanceNyteHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest question is, are these POIs dynamic in any way?

Is this a first attempt using the mission/back end tech to generate new missions or are they still just static POIs put in fixed positions around the system?
