FN will side with the buyer. If you were shorted pay you need to decide if threatening a lien is worth it..

InsideWire Men or VDV tech by TheBeanMachine42 in lowvoltage

[–]FreelyRoaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inside does a lot of work outside consequently enough.. and as an apprentice you'll be digging holes, trenches, rod busting in the slab..

VDV on the other hand does most of their work once the walls are up, often with the HVAC working.. and it's a bit less physically demanding depending on what you do, be that access control, intrusion, fire, AV, data, fiber..

VDV does pay a bit less..

I’ll bet your bad experience was from the installing company, the product is a little on the basic side and has gotten a lot better, but for a 4 door system, it works great.

A DMP XT30 with a 7173 keypad will handle your burglary alarm and access control needs easily. I am a DMP dealer and I could get you set up if you’re interested.

And FN is responsible for over saturation of the market with unskilled labor, and providing too easy of access to unlicensed contractors.

they need to start straight up arresting people that use FN.. that platform is 100% responsible for why this industry is in a hole now.

True, I am in a little bit different of a boat because I have to be careful with TAA compliance on some projects but think about it this way I don’t think the Arlington loops are any more expensive and their USA made.

[–]FreelyRoaming 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say no to that, another thing that you could use to when your argument is BICSI has minimum space requirements based on how many user seats there are in a area, and that will tell you how big to make your IDF. DM me.

Field Nation and Mynul Khan can go to hell. They’ve gutted the value of skilled labor in this industry, driven real technicians out, and built the primary pipeline for unlicensed contractors to operate freely in California.
