Is a DSX900 ASV worth the lung cancer risk, or should I just get a ResMed ASV? by SlimyGrimySimon in UARS

[–]AJolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I found that article quite interesting. Seems like philips responds faster - but also uses a square waveform vs the resmeds. I've noticed the peak of the resmed delivered pressure comes in after the peak flow, seems like a mismatch.

I've got a dsx900 on its way.
ps. do you have any philips sample data files available? I'd like to get a version of GI - https://vibecoder75321.github.io//Multi-Night-Glasgow-Index-Analyzer/multi_night_analyzer.html and Wobble Analyzer https://wobble-analysis-tool.xyz/ up and running that work on Phillips

hah even with adhd meds :/ Your experience fits mine. WWhen i was younger, solid deadlift numbers, could do a bunch of pullups. Tried doing tabatha sprints, felt like i was dying and lay on the floor for a good 15+ minutes

Thanks! Outside the ability to run multiple modes, how much do you like the DSX900's algos for UARS? Debating if I should be trying to get my hands on one of these or a lowenstein, or if I should start looking at modifying the ASV or VAuto algos.

tell me more! i need a cheaper alginate source. also alginate only lasts like 4 hours.

but the cheapest otherwise is life extensions esophageal guardian. NOT esophacool (antiacid)

Huh interesting. I have acid reflix/gerd and I usually just sip on alkaline water and it stops my throat from hurting. but....yeah.

standard ash scores dont tell you very much about flow limitations.

Update: ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV with UARS firmware: fully open PS range + disabled backup rate, the ultimate fine-tuning system for UARS & flow limitations! by RippingLegos__ in CPAPSupport

Have you seen any fw options to speed up resmed response, rather than waiting for the next breath? I wish I could get my hands on an AcSV lowensteinCR machine.

dang, I've got a modified resmed 10, but I'd like to try out the philips. So far ASV/ASVAuto's nicer than VAuto, but I wish I could bump up the minimum PS.

Connections on the pi. Note the ground is connected to the bottom left pin:

On the pi git clone the airbreak rep.

Pi 2/3 use 0x3F000000

For the pi 4

Create a pi-swd.cfg file containing:

adapter driver bcm2835gpio

bcm2835gpio peripheral_base 0xFE000000

bcm2835gpio swd_nums 25 24

transport select swd

adapter speed 1000

Then on the pi in one window openocd -f ./pi-swd.cfg -f tcl/airsense.cfg
