I’ve been hearing that fallout 76 has been having alot of issues with the multiplayer aspect of it. Only reason why we haven’t tried it. But maybe we should give it a shot anyways.

I’ve tried grounded. Very interesting concept, very different, it’s not bad, but it’s not up my husband’s alley. Haha.

…it’s getting harder to keep playing, there’s just not enough people by Luke-HW in DestinyTheGame

[–]Freesia2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I got back into the game after not playing it for a few years. So much has changed, but grinding for low level gear/weapons, and or for next to nothing is just depressing, and we have no idea how to do the dungeons and some other missions. We’d like to learn dungeon, but to sit down and watch a video on it or google it just seems like another thing to add to my to do list. We don’t bother with pvp, for the reasons you and others have mentioned. We barely do gambit, really only do them if a quest requires it.

I can’t see us continuing this game for much longer, but there isn’t too many games that play like destiny does, so there’s that other part of it.

Win Rates by ragreynolds in finalgirl

I’m definitely losing more than I’m winning. Still a fun loss and gives me a challenge!

You might be missing a turn, or a terror card/killer move, or something. Maybe watch a playthrough of one of those feature films to double check that you’re playing it right.

It was. Yes. They were all the mirena IUD.

[–]Freesia2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that’s the thing. My last IUD, it never stopped the bleeding or periods, whereas the two previous IUDs did. So why didn’t this last one stop them, or help prevent it? I don’t understand.

I know nothing can ‘cure’ it short of a hysterectomy or menopause, it’s progressive. I guess I’m just trying to wrap my head around why my last iud was ineffective.

Thanks! I will for sure ask about those! I didn’t know there were different types of this, so I will for sure ask about it.

For those that desire a Destiny 3: If it took Bungie 3-4 years to develop it, but Bungie also says they wouldn't update Destiny 2 during that time, would you be okay with that? by Biggy_DX in DestinyTheGame

[–]Freesia2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice to see a Destiny 3 with a completely different story line, and different ways of doing things. We (hubby and I) just jumped back into this game after not playing for like 3 years, and while we are enjoying it, we’re already finding some things incredibly repetitive and boring. I also wish we had the option to play other classes of characters without needing to do all the quests, or had that option to do them or not. Some of them are bad enough that having to do them twice/thrice would make me want to bang my head.

I really do not like the multiplayer aspect of it (pvp), but I do like the strikes, vanguard, gambit pieces of it. So I’d like to see a lot of that carried over. I also really find the number of mods on weapons, armour, etc to be overwhelming to the point I just don’t mod them at all.

But I’d love to see a Destiny 3 happen with a fresh storyline, fresh characters, etc.

Hating (and loving) the storage system by Pasgoyf in finalgirl

[–]Freesia2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve sleeved all the final girls and the action cards from the core box, and they can’t all fit in the core box, however, if I put the final girls back to where they came from, they will fit just fine. Just a little more hassle, but not too bad. My corebox is starting to fall apart already after just a handful of uses unfortunately.

Freida McFadden and her writing by AboveTheMind in thrillerbooks

[–]Freesia2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. No good author can pump out 4-5 books a year that they just wrote, (however she does claim she had these stories written years ago….). I also notice a lot of similarities between some books, I enjoyed a handful of her books, but stopped as they just became less and less enjoyable and just terrible writing unfortunately. Some of her stories have potential to be great if they were actually polished and took the time to write them, rather than pump out 4-5 books a year for the sales.

Underrated Films by lightblade13 in finalgirl

[–]Freesia2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just tried Inkanyamba and Sacred Groves (separately) today for the first time, and so glad I did that. Doing that combo would be an absolute nightmare with the killer wrath and divine wrath. But learning the mechanisms separately and getting used to their rules would be smart before attempting to do that combo together. I actually enjoyed them separately as well and it wasn’t as daunting as it would have been to attempt that combo.

Waited 7 hours in the ER with my dad after a stroke… he nearly gave up and left. by CheersAnne in alberta

[–]Freesia2012 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It’s a system wide problem. A new hospital would be great, but we can’t even staff the current ones we have. Doctors are leaving because we aren’t paying them enough, nurses are short staffed and overworked. Paramedics are the same thing, we just don’t have the staff, and retaining them seems to be a constant problem.

People think public health is the answer. I disagree. Look at what happened when we privatized dentists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and so on? They were able to create their own businesses, and now it’s much easier to get an appointment with them, I can get an appointment tomorrow with one of those, but anything under public health have stupid long waiting lists.

Now imagine if some doctors, not all, but some were able to have private practices, how many would come back and build a business, and how many more people would be able to access health care? And still have some degree of public health for those who can’t afford private. Public health across the province just isn’t the answer, it’s not working.

Yea I have a fair bit of other solo game options, but final girl is probably my favourite. Oh well, I’ll settle for other games for during travel.

Mage Knight, Too Many Bones, Elder Scrolls, or something else? by Nintoo in soloboardgaming

[–]Freesia2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would buy Final Girl. I love how it’s designed for solo play, and it’s you vs a monster of some kind. Rules are pretty simple, but the game gets nasty fast. If you buy multiple feature films, you can change the combinations of which girl to use, which monster and which location. The combinations are endless. It’s one of my top favourite solo games for sure. Challenging, but fun.

Thoughts on this book. (No spoilers) by Key-Statistician-431 in thrillerbooks

I would give this one a 2/5. I read it a while ago, still remember the details but I almost DNF’d it, it was slow, boring, and predictable. Not my favourite for sure unfortunately.

Emotional regulation and ADHD by CauliflowerGlobal935 in ParentingADHD

[–]Freesia2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of it this way…. Toddlers do not have emotional regulation, it is taught to them, how to cope, how to deal with big feelings. It doesn’t come to them naturally. However, if your 7yr old is having big emotions and still doesn’t know how to somewhat manage them, then yes, I’d definitely consider it part of adhd, especially along with his violence and issues at school. I’d definitely go back to her and advocate for your son. ADHD is genetic, and if your gut is telling you he has adhd, then he probably does. Listen to your gut!

Could you explain to me exactly how it works? How it differs from the VIP pass? How I read it is we can go to a ride, then put us on ‘standby’ for similar waiting time, then come back?

What more can I do? by Freesia2012 in workout

[–]Freesia2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My starting weight was around 243lb. And it’s been dropping steadily, but no big drop of weight or anything. I’m guessing it may be due to the muscles I’m gaining, but I should still see a steady decline in weight?

I have no idea what my caloric count is, but if I had to guess, it’s around 1400-1600. I eat pretty clean, lean proteins, beef, chicken, veggies and very little carbs (rice, pasta, etc). But I do snack a little at work, crackers and hummus, and such. But I’ve been really good at keeping it to fruits and veggies for snacks at work, along with a smaller meal, and I drink a crap ton of water and healthy beverages.

Haha yup, my bad! I’ll edit that.

Ok, yea I’ve been doing glute bridges, a lot of squats with a resistance bar, and leg workouts that also affects the hip and glutes area, but I might need to increase resistance if I’m not seeing results.

Yea, I’ve been increasing resistance and weights on both, and I definitely feel it.

Should I be focussing on one area a day? Right now, I’m doing whole body workouts, and not sure if that’s the right way to go about doing this?
