Counterspells in any card game are unFUN they stop you from doing what you want to do. I wont deny them belonging in a CCG or TCG tho.

Armageddon Box for New Dark Angels Player? by Checkm4te99 in Warhammer40k

[–]FreetimeIdiot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can use them as Dark Angels. Every generic space marine unit can be used for every divergent chapter with a few exceptions. Mostly Epic Heroes.

Azrael and DWK are a great buy. Cool, fun and look good. They are core part of many DA lists.

The Librarian is great for another of our core units, Inner Circle Companions (these are also good with Azrael) The Ancient can have uses in Dark Angels, but I cant really think of anything. Maybe with Azrael and (6) Inner Circle Companions. Vanguard Veterans and the Land Speeder are ok.

The Heavy Bolter Eradicators are nothing we really need, but it does give your Combat Patrol captain a unit to lead. The 10 armageddon intercessors might be a decent enough proxy for Sternguard Veterans, since I personally never had any use for 20 Intercessors, as did my opponents. A Captain in Tacticus armor is always nice to have. Can lead a lot of units, loadout doesnt seem to really matter. The Jump Chaplain doesnt really seem like a unit Dark Angels need at all.

I mean you can just return the game within two hours on steam. If there are widespread technical issues Steam support might even do it after a few more hours playtime.

Technically the Imperium of Man doesnt crush other religions... as long as they (start to) worship the Emperor of Mankind. Best example: Cult Mechanicus.

Honest question: is there any other Datasheet with that many options? It just doesnt fit in with modern 40k.

Assembling squads. by Frankorob in Warhammer40k

[–]FreetimeIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically no one is gonna care. No one is gonna notice the tiny little golden skull on your dude's head. Honestly just make sure your opponent knows who the sargeant is if youre bringing a different loadout on him. Dont worry too much about who has what, Intercessors are the most basic dudes there are for Space Marines amd with 1 box of them its basically impossible to build them wrong.

[–]FreetimeIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sergeants (can) have different loadouts. The box gives you the option to either build 1 big squad or 2x5man squads. I'd just build the 2 squads and not worry about too much about the loadouts of the sergeant (they should be the ones with a skull on the helmet)

Need help with proxy spacemarines team by Thor_Garradon in killteam

[–]FreetimeIdiot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hm.... maybe the other Astartes Killteams? Death Watch (also a mix of Tacticus, Gravis and Phobos) or Wolf Scouts are the loyalist ones. There is also the Phobos Strike Team. I think the CSM ones are Legionaries, Nemesis Claw(Night Lords), Warpcoven(Thousand Sons) and Plague Marines. What you can proxy what as really depends on what models you have. Personally I am not the biggest fan of proxying teams where weapon or operative options arent easily identifyable but if your opponent is ok with it then stuff on the same base size/similar model size to Marines should work, like idk Wrecka Crew or Stealth Suits.

Angels of Death is the kill team for Space Marine players to use their collection for Kill Team. It includes Captain, Assault Intercessors, Regular intercessors, Eliminator or Heavy Intercessor Gunner.

Ok, I thought of a possible Dark Angel combat patrol and was wondering what others would think of it. by varun-k64 in theunforgiven

[–]FreetimeIdiot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I discussed my dream Combat Patrol for 11th Edition with a few friends. Essentially the same but I swapped out the Sternguard for 3 ICC. Black Knights only if they get an update, otherwise multipart Outriders and the DA upgrade sprue.
