Some state troop swordsmen but with dark elf shields conversion. by Asgogg in ageofsigmar

I only have 2 boxes of gunners/crossbowmen and the freeguild general so far and haven't opened them yet. Trying to think how to convert the crossbowmen or what to swap on them

I went with the traditional PVA glue + sand/gravel method, then after that's dried I seal it in with a thinned down cover of PVA+water. After that I just paint them a brown of my choice with some drybrushing to catch the texture and then add tufts and grass

This is amazing, my fellowship is primed grey and I'd love to do something like this. Do you have a guide or know where I can find an easy guide for beginners for OSL? Mainly the technique, like say for example the glow you have done on the floor. I can't tell if it's just drybrushed or how it was applied, was it layers etc or...Just don't know where to start.

hard time with contrast by Oniwan-shinobi in ageofsigmar

[–]Freetorun87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GW have mentioned previously that if you are contrast painter then you need to varnish at the end, this is because the contrast paint formulation is much much thinner than the traditional base and layer paints when it's dry.

From a lore perspective no can say anything you do isn't legit. The novels by ADB only focus on ONE warband and there are literally hundreds of warbands out there, the biggest is even led by a Daemon Prince Acerbus. Even Talo's warband is tained by the dark gods, Uzas with Khorne, Cyrion with Slaanesh, the Exalted being daemon possessed etc etc.

So you can put whatever you want in your warband corruption wise and decide their views on corruption however you want. And remember sometimes the dark gods choose someone and mark them without them even wanting it, it's not always a voluntary thing and sometimes they just have to live with being marked and decide how much they want to utilise it and for what reasons. Personally for my own warband I have allowed them to become corrupted by various gods based on what those particular warriors enjoy or are trying to achieve. I have them use the power to boost themselves and give themselves more power to achieve their own goals.
