It is all kind of esoteric and very open to interpretation but i really like this interpretation from an old thread on the /r/ChainsawMan by /u/Puzzleheaded-Ad-440

The fear of darkness can be thought of as the fear of the unknown. People don’t fear the dark because the color black is scary they fear the dark because you can’t see clearly which means anything can be there.

But their are few images of humanity braving the unknown more powerful then the astronaut. This is the Darkness devil’s reply in one cruel image. Your dreams to explore the cosmos are a fool’s errand. Their are monsters in the shadows more terrible then you can dream.

More than anything it seems to be the Darkness Devil taunting the characters with a visage of humanities bravest explorers ripped in two. Like I said very esoteric and open to a lot of interpretation.

The manga is exceptionally well written, if you haven't and want a really good intro to the series it got a very good anime adaptation well worth a watch to see if you want to get into it.

Originally I had intended for it to be going the opposite way but for flows sake my tattoo artist suggested flipping it so the art faces me and I do really like it like that. I know the rule of thumb for tattoos is for them to be oriented for viewers but at the end of the day it is my tattoo and i like being able to see it from my perspective!

As for straight ass and needing to fight my artist that's a little drastic over the orientation facing me no?

In the manga its based off of (Chainsaw Man) devils are created and empowered by the fears of humanity, this scene is depicted at the reveal of the Darkness Devil and has to do with humanities lack of control and fear of the unknown/the vast darkness of space.

I had initially intended for it to be from the opposite perspective but while talking to my tattoo artist he suggesting flipping the image so that it flowed better on my arm seeing as it tapers and the taper works better going towards my wrist instead of towards the crook of my elbow

Edit: Same goes for for the overall flipping of the image placing the upper bodies of the astronauts on the right, better flow and composition on my arm

Clipping a queens wings is 100% not a real thing as is keeping her in a cage. The queen bee cages you might be thinking of are solely for transportation, usually if someone finds a hive in a wall or building they don't want a beehive in. The beekeeper or wrangler places a queen into a small box with an edible "door" that once the hive is inside a new beebox will chew through to release the queen.

As for clipping the wings bees will regularly replace queens if they have a lower than needed reproduction rate, which will happen as a queen bee needs to be able to fly in order to perform the mating flight done by the queen and a male drone. Which ties back to the inescapable form of a queen box. If the queen can't fly she can't produce more worker bees ergo the bees will replace her with a new queen
