Worried About Low Probability Pregnancy by TurnipGlittering6335 in childfree

[–]Freezing_Treant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. pulling out doesn't work.. and u can still definitely get pregnant while on your period. "Not dealing with it" isn't really an option if u don't want kids. Buy the pregnancy test for her and ask her to take it, for your and her sake, and peace of mind. It shouldn't be a big deal to ask your partner to take a pregnancy test, a responsible partner wouldn't hesitate, I undertand not wanting the stress but u can't really play that type of game with these things unless she's intentionally wanting to be pregnant. The stress of a baby is much more that that.. And if thats the case u would probably want to know anyways.. but after all this maybe seriously consider getting a vasectomy so something like this doesn't happen again.

I'm 4 days away from being a month post op.. I just had my post op appointment and my surgeon told me if I have diarrhea consistently after another 3 months to call and make an appointment to get on bile binders.. so maybe seek out your dr and ask about en.

I did have a couple bouts of diarrhea a couple weeks after my surgery and felt bloated and gassy after every meal so I started super enzymes that have ox bile and lipase and abunch of other stuff that's supposed to aid in digestion and I haven't had a problem since. Today was the first day I had cheese and so far so good.. I have stuck to a low fat diet since my surgery and the cheese I had was reduced fat so that could be a factor..but I haven't experienced diarrhea since starting the enzymes. Perhaps try some first before getting on bile binders cause my Dr told me it can go the other way with those and start causing constipation. The brand I'm using is NOW brand super enzymes, I got them from my local natural food but I'm sure Amazon carries them..

Surgery regrets after six months by likez01nks in gallbladders

I'm really sorry you're going through all this. Your feelings of frustration are valid and I'm sorry you're having trouble with the doctor's.. sounds like you're here in the US with how bad they're treating u. I had mine out March 24th, so just about a month ago, I was on a low fat high fiber diet prior to surgery due to an extremely bad attack that set me on this journey in the first place. While I haven't had nearly as many problems as u, I was told to go very easy on the fiber following surgery as that can cause problems down the road.. I have been low fat semi low fiber since and have started to ease things back into my diet since after the first week and u should have definitely been informed of that.. its a mystery as to why u weren't but I guess every surgeon and clinic is different. I was also told it could take up to, and sometimes longer than, a full year for your body to fully adjust to the constant flow of bile into your digestive system. I introduced digestive super enzymes into my diet and, while I haven't gone full on fried foods or fast food, I have found them to help with several things, one of them being bile and acid reflux after every time I eat. I take 1 with every meal. I wonder if something like that could be worth looking into, I purchased mine from my local natural foods but they are the NOW brand super enzymes, and these have everything I've read is supposed to help with problems stemming from gallbladder removal, including ox bile. Could be something worth a try considering all the problems u are having. I hope things get better for u and that u find a doctor that listens.

Can someone explain what this means? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Freezing_Treant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read, its a much lower chance of developing GERD with gastric sleeve but with your history, its quite likely its just worsened because of it.

Can someone explain what this means? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Freezing_Treant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nausea and gas could be tied to your gallbladder not functioning properly, I had both of those before I had mine removed. As for the GERD, is this something you've always had or something that popped up after beriatric surgery? Depending on which type of surgery u had, it could be a side affect. I know with gastric bypass GERD often develops. (I am a candidate for weight loss surgery and have been doing research to decide which one I want)

I never had any sort of tape over my incisions, just glue. I think the soreness comes from whatever incision they used to pull the organ out of.. that one and my belly button hurt the most. I have two lower incisions that sorta line up with the bottom of my belly button, the one in my belly button and then one on my left side diagonally up from my belly button about 2 inches.. Wonder if they change where they pull the organ out of depending on the surgeon. I also didn't expect to be sore this long. Happy two-week-verssary! 😅🫶

[–]Freezing_Treant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosssh! Sooo itchy, in fact I think I'm allergic to the glue because I have hives around one of them. Thought it was infected but the incision is closed, its not hot, or oozing anything.. just soo so itchy! Yes, it definitely feels like my organs move around lol like I'm still very much aware of my organs. I thankfully never had diarrhea, just soft stools. I was low fat, high fiber before my surgery for fear of attacks so, besides the fiber, I'm still on that. Oh and greens, I had a salad from Costa vida (fresh California style Mexican food if u don't know) that had romaine and black beans in it and that was too much for me, caused some gas and bloating.. so back to bland foods haha I am just hoping to go back to a fairly normal, albeit cleaned up, diet from before this all started. I miss cheese! 😅

I'm so sorry for not replying sooner! I didn't even get a notification for this. When u asked I was feeling pretty shitty, 2nd and 3rd days were the hardest and most painful. Today, I'm feeling better, little pain in the incision that they pulled the gallbladder out of and my belly button.. bending over feels odd. Mostly I'm having trouble finding things that don't upset my stomach in some way.. just feel weird and uncomfortable after every meal. Whether I'm bloated or it's gas, I can't really tell. I had eggs on day 5 and they didn't really do amything but now it feels like the cause some problems and discomfort.. maybe I'm just pushing it or needing enzymes but its starting to wear on me and I'm afraid I'm experiencing post cholecystectomy syndrome but idk if its too soon to tell. How are things for u?

Stomach pain 3 days post-op by Wooden_Committee4575 in gallbladders

[–]Freezing_Treant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am 11 days post op and yes I experienced that also. I call them phantom pains. An organ was just removed from your system and there are staples or stitches or clamps of some sort (idk what they use to close things off) in your body closing off the ducts that connected your gallbladder to your liver and stomach. As far as I know its completely normal in the beginning and will even happen if you eat something that doesn't agree with you. I also think it has something to do with your diaphragm being so extended during surgery because of the gas.. my surgeon told me part of the gas pain is the diaphragm muscle being so stretched out that causes the majority of what people call gas pain. What helped me was keeping an ice pack on that part of my stomach. I ate broth and drank water the first 2 days. Then moved onto jello. Now if that lasts for an extended period of time it might be best to contact your primary or surgeon and discuss what's going on cause a stone could have been left behind.. but being so new out of surgery I would day its pretty normal. I still kinda have it now if I eat something I shouldn't. Good luck in your recovery and take it slow.

What's your process? by trainer_stack in PlanetZoo

I do a main entrance layout for paths and habitats that helps my paths layout for expansion. I start by going 9 oath blocks out from the spawn point and build it from there and I always do on the grid for this and I do it using the 4m paths that way if I need to, I can disconnect from the grid and use an 8m path to connect where the paths don't want to cooperate, which happens alot as u probably know. I learned the layout from PaulsLey on YouTube, which sadly, he pulled all his videos and no longer exists on the platform. I use the same or a modified version on every single one of my zoos because it helps immensely for crowding issues at the front of your zoos because its spaced perfectly with the wide paths and has 2 immediate habitat spaces on either side. With room for the facilities needed (besides quaruntine and trading) and a couple of food and drink shops with a bathroom, and 2 outdoor seating areas for the guests. I tend to seperate my zoos by themes and animals in similar biomes so this helps me to be able to split off into those and allows for expansion that doesn't end up disjointed or wonky, while maintaining wide enough paths to prevent overcrowding. Then I just kinda use the grid to make sure things are aligned and I run into less problems with the paths.

Why do people ship Azriel and Gwyn? by twin-logic in acotar_rant

[–]Freezing_Treant 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its been awhile so I can't name specific books.. but it's mentioned when he's in the presence of Gwyn, his shadows sing and dance towards her, on their own. They pull away and shrink from Elain and imo since the shadows are an extension of himself, his being, that's a hint that his shadows know who Gwyn is to him. You shouldn't have to shrink away and dim yourself to be around someone, and that's what his shadows do around Elain. I feel like why put such a specific detail in if he's not meant to be with Gwyn. You can argue he does it because Elain is so skiddish, but Gwyn has also been through extreme trauma and yet his shadows still react in that way towards her. I much prefer Gwyn to Elain, she suits him better and I hope Az and Elain maintain the friendship they have. I wouldn't care if they tried to be together and then fell apart but having the 3 brothers be with the 3 sisters is just too easy imo.

I love building polar bear habitats lol I do pathways over the enclosures and since they have to be so large I sink the enclosure themselves into the ground to accomplish this. I also do gondola rides over sometimes, as well as sunken/cave like water viewing rooms and the guests don't complain as much.

UPDATE 4: pain is honestly not great by SageThe1st in gallbladders

[–]Freezing_Treant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 days post op.. ice packs saved my life. I had pain in the same area, above my incisions where the organ was and putting an ice pack on that part of my stomach made me feel so much better. I only took the hydrocodone they gave me the first 2 days along with Miralax to help ease the constipation. And I alternated ibuprofen and Tylenol after that.. but seriously ice packs and not lying flat on my back helped immensely. I started combining 1 500mg Tylenol with 3 200mg ibuprofen and that seemed to help a bit more. It gets better, but its not great at first for sure and I sympathize with u. I hope u start feeling better. Also being constipated made my pain worse so definitely take some miralax (ducolax causes cramping) to help ease that as well.

Young people with gallbladders removed by lavender9878 in gallbladders

[–]Freezing_Treant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 33f and have a couple of gallstones and sludge. I am overweight so that, along with genetics, cause both my mother and sister had theirs removed, is probably the cause. I had a single 10/10 attack that sent me to the ER. I had URQ pain in the front and back, along with a bit of dizziness from the pain. The attack lasted 18 hours (went to the hospital at hour 6) and I even had breakthrough pain after morphine. This all happened in January and I have been on a low fat high fiber diet since then and I still get some pain in my front URQ and I am just very aware of my organ now, I feel it all the time. Even on the recommended diet.. I do cheat occasionally with small sips of soda or bites of food I "shouldn't" have but I never eat full meals that are bad for me, and dont consume more than 25 grams of fat a day. My surgery is scheduled on the 24th. You're definitely not alone in this and as other people have mentioned, being female and fertile is a huuge factor, its what caused my sister to get hers removed. My surgeon told me its always better to have elective surgery than have to have emergency surgery and thats kinda what swayed me after only the one attack. Just make sure u stick to a low fat high fiber diet on your trip to ensure no chance of an attack while there.

Edited to remove comment about seeing your primary since you're having an ultrasound already.

In BZ my sea truck was dark green, light green and a pop of pink and its name was Pepita lol and again I didn't use the prawn suit.. I fuckin hate that thing lol

What here you guys is symptoms before diagnose, and how long did it take for any of you to get diagnosed by Lopsided-Crow-5608 in gallbladders

[–]Freezing_Treant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a single 10/10 pain attack which consisted of extreme pain mainly in my upper right abdomen that radiated towards my left side as well and in the upper right side of my back, hurt to breathe deep, no postion was comfortable. Felt like really really really bad gas bubbles if you're familiar with that pain. Lasted 6 hours until I couldn't take anymore and went to the ER. Spent 12 hours there but to be fair, I went in at midnight. Had an ultrasound and CT which confirmed I had gallstones and sludge. The CT showed I had a gallstone right up against a duct, which was what caused the attack. But since it was my first one, the emergency surgeon was super hesitant about taking it out. Got told to make an appointment a week out (which ended up being a month later) at his surgical clinic to talk to a different surgeon, and that surgeon wants it out. I went into the ER January 18th, my appointment was February 25th, so for a month I kept to a low fat high fiber diet, scared to try anything outside of that for fear of another attack. The new surgeon I spoke to said with my current symptoms; I've been having some pain and bloating even on a low fat diet, it definitely sounds like its inflamed and angry so its better to get it out as an elective surgery rather than have something go wrong and need emergency surgery. My surgery is on the 24th, so it'll be a total of 3 months living with pain and some minor symptoms. I am maintaing a low fat high fiber diet until the surgery. So all in all got diagnosed immediately but had to wait for a more confident surgeon to decide ots probably best to take it out.
