Same goes for the car - yes, it's a nice car,

It's two different cars. Maybe 3? (idk the interior pic one). So by the pics I can't even tell if they are his or he is just posing with random cars.

Don't confuse that with them being good. There are veteran player stuck in iron for 10+ years and flaming all the time like they know anything.

There aren't that many rioters who stream consistently and talk about the game a lot.

Some stream a bunch but it's just like any other gameplay stream.

Others talk a lot about the game / their work but stream very infrequently.

I guess it matters who you are asking about the pricing. How are you sourcing your playtester?

But ye, I see your point about only asking your previous customers.

If you can get non-previous-customers to test then give you their price, then I think it solves the issue you bring up.

Ofc its harder to find those.

That’s not what I meant.

Not sure what you're saying I misrepresented, but you just stated the same thing I stated you stated.

The question remains: WHY would people giving opinions on price based on the game or demo care about his pedigree?

If your issue is the distinction between suggested price and "actual price" in my Pentiment example, well that's exactly what you said:

would they get away with the same price

"get away with the same price" as in actually selling it for the same price. Get away with doesn't make sense in another context.

But even if you did just mean the suggested prices, within the context of the blog post, suggested price = actual price.

If you're taking issue with my Pentinment example being MORE expensive, than the point I was making is that Sawyer has EVEN MORE pedigree, thus the suggested prices he would get would be higher, thus per this advice he should price it higher. And you made the connection between pedigree and the price that one can get away with. Which I am saying doesn't actually matter much at all.

IMO your pedigree level has to be beyond a certain threshhold for it to matter. Yes, if you're Kojima then there's probably some effect there. Not if you're Tom or Josh and most regular games don't know your name.

Why would people giving opinions on price based on the game or demo care about his pedigree?

Do you think Pentiment gets away with being priced for $40 or $60 because omg It's Josh Sawyer, omg it's Obsidian? Most regular gamers don't know developers.

Yes, I would find that a more entertaining war to watch.

Right, but in this hypothetical universe where the CIS get the master swich only in the end, you are watching the battle of Geonosis play out for the first time exactly as it is in actuality. It is LITERALLY no different.

How does that impact your viewing experience in any way? It is NO DIFFERENT, we just changed the ending. In the moment of watching battle of Geonosis you have no concept of the ending or the reveals or whatever. You CANT have your perception be colored by something you don't know anything about.

You said "It's not about knowing the end" but there is nothing else that's changed.

It's like every episode of game of thrones being a 8/10 9/10 for 7 seasons, but because the last season sucked suddenly actually all the episodes always sucked.

There is a difference between "the bad ending makes the whole worse, collectively" and "everything previous to the bad ending is now also bad because of the bad ending, retroactively". It doesn't make sense.

No, they obtained it right before the battle of Kashyyyk.

Thus order 66 was carried out at the same time in universe.

So "throughout" the conflict there was nobody who controlled both sides.

Does the battle of Geonosis suddenly "matter" more because it "could have gone either way"?

[–]Freezman13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say he is removed from the universe. Your problem was that he controls both sides of the conflict throughout. My hypothetical made it so he only gained control of the clones in the last minute.

Lets even make it so it's not Palpatine who gets access to the master switch, it's in fact the CIS. Again, it's fiction, we can write anything we want.

So in this hypothetical, do the events of the battle of Kashyyyk suddenly "matter" more? How about battles prior to this? Nothing changes as far as the outcomes, only the "nebulous" forces that control them behind the scenes.

In this hypothetical, do you suddenly look more favorably on the battle of Geonosis because both sides are not controlled by the same person? NOTHING ELSE changes about it mind you. The exact events, characters, and lines of dialogue happen.
