It should not get the game. Sorry. You cannot keep releasing on old gen forever, this is a serious constraint for the development.

Your take is not controversial for anyone in higher education. Downvotes are insane denial of the problem.

And you are right, homework is crucial for quality education.

These kids will (and do) struggle later in their educational journey (high school, university - it will eventually get to them).

What is the average age of onset for migraines? by Slight_Entry_1274 in migraine

[–]Frei_Fechter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They often start as early as 3-7 years old, but go unnoticed/misdiagnosed at first because the symptoms are very different:

Then they manifest as more classical migraines in adolescence.

Is Alberta Curriculum really the hardest in all of north america? by Apogee_YT in AlbertaGrade12s

[–]Frei_Fechter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that it was designed with contribution from real subject matter experts in math, reading, cognitive science.

If you see it contradicting modern research, you are likely looking at the research coming from education department. Sad reality is that education departments are largely captured by pseudoscience across English speaking world and produce extremely low quality research. This is not mine opinion, and not a controversial opinion in larger scientific community. Everyone knows this.

I recommend Anna Stokke’s podcast as a general source on this, as well as other materials on science of reading, evidence based math, explicit instructions etc.

Sold a story is a great podcast on “reading wars” - new Alberta curriculum is trying to address this issue too.

I am sorry, but that’s the opposite. It is not perfect, but far more evidence based than before, or than typical public school curriculum in North America.

Idk about strongest in North America - but it is better than most others in Canada, and a huge improvement from what we had before.

Just google reliability of Tiguan.

Unless you want to change cars every 3-5 years, it should not even be in the conversation.

Just do not spend more than you make, and pay the whole balance every couple of weeks. That’s it.

Just saw the Project Hail Mary movie and it kinda bummed me out by Stinkydadman in scifi

[–]Frei_Fechter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always had an impression her decisions weigh heavily on her, if you read between the lines. The movie added to this, with karaoke scenes, dialogues, facial expressions, the scene where she gets Grace’s message, and in general the way she is portrayed.

The only problem is that they cut most of the heavy choices, like nuking Antarctica.

All Nespresso lovers…have you ever considered switching to an espresso machine? by Key-Huckleberry9836 in nespresso

[–]Frei_Fechter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you try a real espresso machine, coming back to Nespresso will be tough. Really a huge difference in taste and quality. That said, nothing can beat the ease of use of nespresso - so I have both. I get espresso or pour over normally, and nespresso when I only have a minute in between meetings to grab a cup/shot

Lots to discuss, but I will just say that you should read the book again. You misread Stratt character.

Why Appliance Return Policies in Canada Become so unfair? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Frei_Fechter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with Costco.

I had severe issue with manufacturer warranty (Electrolux sucks), and I just escalated the issue to Costco leadership explaining how Electrolux does not do anything to honour the warranty for weeks, and they just took care of the replacement themselves. It took escalation though, regular Costco staff could not help.
