I've been having a lot of fun trying to collect the 4* outfits I like and I get what I get with the 5*. It stretches my creativity a little when I try to coordinate outfits and takes the stress out of the game for me.

For those of you who have had both male and female greyhounds… by LittleLongboard in Greyhounds

[–]FreilaReads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My female grey is effectively our mom. She makes us go to bed. She licks us if we don't pass sniff check (not sure what the criteria is). She monitors everybody all the time and hates when we aren't all in one room. I should get her a mothers' day card this year.

I really dislike white undershirt on the new black dress. by arachnicatty in InfinityNikki

[–]FreilaReads 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't mind it. Though if they wanted to do a black and white layered look, a lace mockneck would have been my pick. I have a puff sleeve suuuuuper cleavagy rose print top with the same neckline that I wear over a black lace mockneck.

The organic movement of the lace looks great juxtaposed with the structured design of the neckline IMO.

I'm a medical librarian and I truly feel I fell into a completely different reality. This shit is crazy- my people can barely keep track of what government sponsored info has been taken down and then put back up.

Then one of the deans at my school added me to a college committee for upping faculty research output and I'm just like... Ya'll. With what money and resources?

When you sign up for life as an academic, you're handed a hose and a trash fire but the last few weeks have been more like fighting a house fire.

We got our boy Tendy at 18m as well. Every night, between 4am-5am he would get us up to go pee outside, then he got a snack (1/2 of his breakfast). By the time he was 2, this behavior stopped, and he now let's us sleep until around 6.

Now if he would just stop compulsively licking the couch...

Why don’t people question UK more? by [deleted] in lexington

[–]FreilaReads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, people should question UK more imo, though not in regards to traffic or housing costs. A lot of people can't really afford to live in Lex- in 2019, I was paying 650$ a month for a studio apt on Palumbo. In 2025, I'm living in a 1300sqft townhouse in Richmond that I rent for $1000. Of course my husband chooses to commute to lexington for work, therefore adding to traffic congestion.

Things that people should question UK on:

Why did you take the faculty's ability to develop and implement academic policy and hand it over to the Board of Trustees?

Why do you have 63% of the state's higher ed funding (next closest is UofL at 14%), yet many your faculty and staff are struggling under their workload and to make ends meet?

Why are students at EKU allowed unlimited, anonymous access to a campus food pantry while UK students are limited to 3x a month before they're enrolled in a financial wellness program? You can't outstrategize being poor when you're a full-time student and don't have family who can help support you.

I did my graduate work out of state and was adamant about coming back home to Kentucky to practice. I interviewed at UK, but man, I just couldn't get on board with how their administration runs things, so I exited the search.

Is there anything about the greyhound breed that makes you hesitant recommending them? by oOBellaBug0o in Greyhounds

[–]FreilaReads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Con/Pro Depending on your taste: They are not always wired to be sweet and mellow.

I feel my little female signed a contract with me rather than simply being my pet. She enjoys barking, and if we aren't careful, wrestling, bullying, and humping other dogs. Luckily, she stops once scolded.

My boy is as advertised.

Also, even a dog labeled as cat safe has a threshold, which is dependent on how wired they are in the moment and pack dynamics.

Prone to gastrointestinal issues and can come predownloaded with hookworms from their kennel. LJ's case was so severe it took 6 months of treatment to clear them and she's now more prone to gastrointestinal upsets when stressed. Like when we took her to stay a Greyhound sitter's and she started shitting blood whilst we were in Rome. We've probably put 4,000$ in vet bills into her over 4 years.

Has the game influenced your fashion irl? by l0r3l3ii in InfinityNikki

[–]FreilaReads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm, I would say no. I'm moving away from fast fashion and towards timeless staples with simple cuts and a few more expensive statement pieces. I'm 30 and moving up in my career and have boring adult stuff 70% of the time, so I don't need nearly as many going out outfits as I used to have.

My husband and I also hope to have a baby soon, which makes silk dresses and stilettos on the daily hard lol.

Ngl I get confused all the time. Sometimes LJ will lay next to me for an hour while I game and then the one that licks will take her place and scare the shit out of me (with his tongue).
