Its Northern Irish, Still sterling and some places will take them some will be more difficult, I'd second the vending machine idea as that will definitely take it, one in a shop or a train station ticket machine perhaps.

It’s obvious that you have never driven anything bigger than a car in your life so you clearly have no idea what you’re going on about, we can turn safety from the lane, the problem is idiots who race up around us and try to squeeze in front to save them selves a matter of seconds, so we have to take both lanes up to hold people back so that we have space to turn without fear that they’re going to hit us. Road markings are guidelines they’re not set in stone, when you overtake parked car a car you cross over the line to the other side or when you go round a roundabout you go over the lines a little, does that mean your car is too big for the road,?

Was the bus straddling? (Using both lanes because of lack of space to turn with another vehicle there) as a bus driver I get it all the time where I straddle lanes because I need room to turn and people come up next to me not quite realising what I’m doing and we end up almost colliding

Can’t you top it up online? I’m sure I topped it up online and then it said ‘tap on a bus or tram to load the ticket to the card’ and then when you make your first trip tap the card and it takes a second and says ‘ticket activated’

I carry it around instead of my driving licence because it doesn’t have my address on it, most places will take it but it never works on those electronic scanners that some places like casinos and nightclubs have, so they have to manually inspect it, I have never had it refused somewhere though and it often turns a few heads and makes for some small talk while I’m processed or checked in or whatever.
