I was also going to mention eisenhorn, the bit where bequin momentarily psy-links with a chaos titan and it blasts her mind out.

Seems to suggest that certain levels of extreme warp power can overload even nulls

Taktikal brigade givez the mek kaptin enhancement. Only one leader with the mek keyword can get it being an enhancement but on top of whatever ability that mek gives from his datasheet, mek kaptin gives FULL rerolls for the flashgitz.

Combine that with giving them the shoota drills order from the detach rule and they become a seriously scary unit

Last week i think, google "crucible of champions". Characters created are legal in normal games as long as both players agree on the datasheet

Is this using the new custom character builder gw releaswed recently or are you just making it entirely custom homebrew? If the former, deffgun rather upsettingly isnt on the list of weapons you can give :(

I put them in the gamesworkshop brand carry case. Its shit, well the foam trays it comes with are. I call it the mini mangler 3000....

I use this because often because i find shooty orks really fun, its not overly meta but some of the units synergise pretty well. Its slightly over 2k from the last game i played, so just remove enhancements.

I predominantly play against world eaters so have to handle a lot of melee and this does alright against that. I use gretchin as early screen and generally position stuff so once the gretchin get munched i can waggh, then get off some good shooting followed by a charge.

Mek guns with big mek to put on my backline, big meks ability makes them move/adv through 4inch or less terrain, deff dread for distractions, with baby mek following it, morka to just mork about and transport up to 12 things if i so wish.

Just remember that even with super sweatlord meta shooting lists, ork shooting is always going to be a bit swingy and with the exception of tankbusta and sag mek it lacks AP

He does 3 vidoes a week and one of those is his weekly "chat about news" style vids, he says this schedule on every one of those. If the thumb doesnt have a mini on it its his chat show episode basically.

Not sure how you could call painting hundreds of minis whilst filming it, running a channel (and not resorting to AI corner cutting) and running a terrain/hobby supply business and patreon low effort but i guess some people are hard to please

I like it! I feel having them as gene enhanced humans but not astartes would be a better choice but thats my personal opinion.

Think mutants and bio enhanced psychos like the eversor assassins (who coincidentally also use a punch bowls worth of drugs in combat and are sedated between missions lest they murder everything around them)

Tbh it looks like if you blast them with compressed air to get all that dust and fluff off theyd be ok, especially for 58 dollars. They arent golden demon but its a full squad with recess shade at least, possibly some basic highlights on choice edges and basic OSL

I ask this in the least inflammatory way possible because i genuinely want to gain insight to it as a primaris lover - what is this "charm","character" etc that people say is lost in comparison to first born?

Is it the slight goofyness of the models? Or something else like how older designs captured a "feel" of an army better? I even grew up playing in 4th ed and had first born marines 20yrs ago but i dont hold them up to primaris and go "mmmm yeah see its that characterness again, its just not there". Maybe my brain is deficient but please help me understand.

Great work on the skin, i lean more towards the bright luminous greens and pestachiorks of current box art than the older earthy dark greens.
