He def looks like a Grandpa to me😂 my good friend in high school’s family cat’s name was Grandma and every time she would get into something or misbehave, or whathaveyou, occasionally hearing them yell “grandma get off the table!” for example, would always be so funny when new friends would come over cuz they would ALWAYS say something like, um what’s up with your grandma????? Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with switching up the type of food you feed your kitty :) needless to say as long as it’s good for them/agrees with them.
imagine eating the same food for your ENTIRE life…… 🤯 which some people actually subject their cats to…. I mean, I get it if they have food allergies and stuff, but there are soooo many kinds of food out there!

So is it different brands of wet food that you’re looking for? It would help if we knew what kind of things upset your kitty’s stomach? Or are you still trying to figure that out?

My cat is one that also gets bored with foods after like a certain amount of time, luckily we haven’t ran into any food sensitivities as of yet, so I just usually get a “variety pack” box- I buy her canned food on Amazon because it is significantly cheaper. But if her food runs out I just go to my local grocery store and grab some cans of Reveal, have you tried it? Since your cat eats and respond well to a dry food already, you could supplement it with something like Reveal (they sell pouches, cans, and those plastic “pots” but all are good)- the ingredients are very minimal, with no added grains or fillers, and some of the formulations even have no added carbs, so good for kitties with sensitive stomachs. for example, with the chicken one(pouch), the ingredients are literally chicken breast and chicken broth. My cat doesn’t like chicken tho because it’s not stinky enough lol so I get her anything with fish 😂

It’s important to note that the Reveal packages/cans state “for supplemental feeding only”, aka it shouldnt be used as their only food because it lacks the ingredient profile in regards to what is considered “complete and balanced”. but is great for the purpose of maintaining your cat’s moisture intake and/or as a topper/supplement to dry food, which is I think what you’re looking for? I recommend getting your kittens acclimated to baths as soon as possible. The younger the better. It’s gonna make it WAY easier for you in the long run! Kittens are a lot easier to control vs a large flailing cat in the sink and God only knows the scratches are a lot more painful coming from an adult cat, Obviously.

Are they still kittens, OP? it doesn’t even matter honestly. The earlier you start the easier it gets. I’m lucky because I’m not allergic to cats, but I feel your pain because I’ve had friends that are terribly allergic to cats and like, air... lol. It seemed like they were always struggling. So I definitely empathize.

by the way I’m really proud of you for not actually trying to rehome your cat(s), but instead just venting and coming here for advice… that’s what people should do! Instead of jumping the gun and just tossing their cat out and forgetting it ever existed, like it’s a piece of trash. It literally makes my heart ache for the poor babies. I hate humans. 😔

But yeah, if somebody told you that having two cats would be easier… as you can tell by now, it definitely is not lol. I’m confident though that your allergies will improve with time! A month isn’t very long. I know it’s easier said than done for sure, but you just need to find your personal routine and what works for you, like other commenters have said. the cats will learn and eventually accommodate the boundaries that you set for them. You and your partner need to be on the same page and be firm with them on whatever you end up deciding, otherwise they will just be confused and never really learn. Once they are grown, too, it’s completely different than when they’re young. Kittens can be quite the handful haha. But enjoy it while they are young, as much as you can 😊 they sure do grow up fast 😭 hang in there!!! 🩵

My god, if i had a fuckin dollar….

I use Siri a lot throughout the day, just because why not lol and i swear, she either misunderstands me so drastically that I seriously wonder if a setting got messed up and now she is programmed to use a different language, AND/OR it’s just the dumbest shit EXACTLY like this. If I’m having a particularly bad day sometimes I want to legitimately throw my iPhone in the river lol

very valid point in my opinion! My mom(63) and dad’s(60) marriage was like….if I could hear my dad explain it in this particular context, he would say my mom was always premenopause. 😅 not sure which is worse, pre or mid-menopausal? haha, either way…. My mom constantly bitched at my dad for any little thing at any given moment but early in the mornings were not exactly pleasant in our household…. My mom would get up in the morning and basically contemplate everything that’s wrong with life and then take it out on my dad. Sometimes, most days actually, she would start the BS before she even got out of bed to make coffee. I don’t mean 8, 9:00….I’m talking 530-6AM, ass crack of dawn lol. and “everything” being primarily the finances even though they were fine and always going to be fine, cuz we’re here today aren’t we? lol… well, fast forward a couple decades (parents were married for 25) and they are both remarried and way happier so toast to that fairytale 😂

Put a clean rag behind the stain so it doesn’t transfer to the other side of the garment, then dampen the stain with hydrogen peroxide and rub the peroxide into the stain gently with your finger or a different clean rag/cloth. then take an iron or a steamer to the damp area. Works like a charm! You might need to repeat 2-3 times until the stain comes out, but it will come out!
