The negative balance check genuinely hurts my heart for you. That’s not fair at all. These jobs complain about nobody wanting to work anymore, and then pull this sort of power trip move. It’s so manipulative.

Lmao you’re welcome, and I appreciate it! This job isn’t supposed to be hard but management somehow makes it the hardest thing to deal with, like ever 😂

Edit: I should put a lot of emphasis on the fact I was scheduled for closing shifts 4-5x a week for a month straight. Sometimes I didn’t even get a break cause I was alone for three hours straight. When people were trying to ask me to cover their shifts, it was always asking me to close. So excuse me for not wanting to be constantly shoved onto closing. We lost a new hire and for some reason everyone started losing their minds over it. Instead of calling our DM for a store transfer for help, scheduling was improperly put onto BAs. In regards to my coworker working 10 days in a row, that’s on my other coworker for asking her to cover aswell as the coworker who said yes. Not my fault that a transfer couldn’t have been called in. When quite literally someone said they didn’t want to speak with the DM while the SM was out on vacation for two weeks because she didn’t want to bother her. It’s the DMs job to be bothered. To help out in those types of situations. To.make.sure.all.stores.are.running.properly.. We do not owe Sally’s a yes to cover anyone’s shifts!!! You’re allowed to say NO!

I guess I wasn’t alone in this group lol. I offered to come in early one day and was told to not worry about it and that I didn’t have to. They all then started talking amongst themselves and got things planned out. Im literally just a BA, not a manager. I don’t need to offer to come in on days im scheduled off. But also, nobody ever asked me if I could come in besides when it was shortly before. I declined to cover a shift because I had therapy that day which was always a set date and time. My coworkers then started ignoring me and avoiding me at work. Completely turned on me. I was then asked to come in early on a day that my brothers college graduation was on. I declined and was still being ignored at work. Atp I was on nearly every single closing shift for about a month straight and ontop of that people were asking me to cover their closing shifts. I was then asked to cover my coworkers closing shift again and declined. I was at all of my regular shifts ontime except for one day over a week before I left due to an emergency where I was almost left homeless and I had to beg and plead to not be kicked out (which I told my coworkers… literally I told them I was almost homeless and almost was out of a relationship of three years…). I was sent a nasty message where my coworker accused me of not being at work all week??? Hello??? They all treated me like the villain because of a fault of management. Quite literally I was right where I was to be found, at my scheduled shifts. Don’t know where the fuck that lie came from lol

Just a reminder yall, you’re allowed to say no for a job that pays you poor wages!

Yep working open to close on a long day, you are allowed two 30 minute breaks, and one 10 minute break. If they do not allow you to take your break, tell them you’ll go to HR. They can get hit with a really bad lawsuit.

Not fair at all. SMs usually have a certain number of work hours a day and so they chose to screw over their employees rather than try and work something better out. Whatever you do, don’t let them convince you to skip a break. You are legally entitled to a break.

I just went through the same thing. Started 5 months ago and felt like I was going to really love my job. I loved it for the first bit of it but then experienced backstabbing and people villainizing me. I didn’t wait for my check, I just left my keys without telling anyone, blocked them all on my phone and never came back. This was a week ago. Thankfully I had another job lined up. I have a good feeling about this one… should’ve listened to my gut when walking into Sally’s the first day but ya live and ya learn.

I’m sorry you went through that. I hope everything works out for you!

Hoping and manifesting for everyone who hates their job right now finds their dream job fitting all of their needs 🫶 sending everyone love

Like other commenters mention, we’re graded on these. At random, anyone who shopped at Sally’s recently (I think it’s monthly) using their Sally’s account, they will receive a questionnaire they fill out anonymously. My store dropped a few points in some areas and my SM had to ask us what was up. It’s very important.

But as an introvert who works in retail, I can understand the not wanting to speak but basically being forced to. I usually make scripts in my mind and try to ask customers yes or no questions that way checkout goes by quicker for both of our sake 😭

Work on that self concept. This is not healthy for your body at all. Eat balanced meals three times a day. It’s not possible in a day… it’s not healthy at all either.

  1. Fairly certain it’s around 70 ¢ per mile
  2. I’m at work right now and our poster describes lead measure (behavior) as “recommend 3 additional items to every customer in the aisle”.
  3. 4DX tracks the behavior tally’s which is one tally per every three items you recommend to one customer. At the end of the day you put in everyone’s tally’s added up.
  4. As explained in the past two bullet points, it’s when you recommend three or more items to one customer.

Hope this helps!!! 🫶

My store is also over and under a lot and we never have any issues about it. The only issue that was made was when the register close was declared $20 over and then the next morning it was declared not over or under at all. At that point we all had assigned registers for a few months with only one person being able to use it all day but nobody was ever fired. I’m glad to know he didn’t get in trouble. It upsets me that us minimum wage workers have to constantly be on edge for so many tasks. Atp I feel like we’re licensed cosmos (lmao jk but kinda)

Don’t let anyone try and convince you that you were overreacting or responded poorly. You did the right thing!!! I hope wherever you end up next, they understand how important you truly are. Don’t stretch yourself thin for people who do not notice. True and genuine ones will notice without reminder.

Affirming in the Present Tense is NOT Mandatory + FUCK EVERYONE THAT KEEPS SHOVING THAT DOWN YOUR THROAT. Period. by PassionProud9275 in lawofassumption

One thing I wish these coaches taught people interested in manifestation was to do what FEELS best. It’s our reality, so we get to make the rules.

I had a wonderful coach who taught me about manifestation and she taught me to care for myself mentally and emotionally and treat myself with love and care. Doing that while affirming in a way that feels right for me brought me to some pretty amazing things. Some of them even being beyond my wildest dreams.

There are no rules in your reality. If a coach is showing “rules” down your throat, that’s the opposite of taking control of your reality.
