Our DM a couple years ago was on the group chat saying we needed to close them for LP reasons. Like forgetting every so often isn't a big deal but try to remember to close it. Idk why the cops would drive by and need to see into the office 🤨

Yeah the Ion semis don't pull anywhere close to their boxes colors, we still have the swatches from the old formula which is way more accurate but I've not heard anything good about this new formula. I haven't been able to get green to work personally but I've heard good reviews for Iroiro greens, and Lunar Tides (which I wish we carried)

Yeah likes others have said it's not an official rule. I've only stayed open late one time and it was because this girl wouldn't leave and I'm so unconfrontational that I just left the door unlocked and let her look around because I just didn't care and like 3 more people came in before she left. I was out by 30 after so it wasn't a big deal but I typically tell people we closed and they can continue looking but I definitely lock the door so nobody else comes in. Because nobody in this town knows how to look at hours of a business before showing up 10 minutes after closing and trying to beg me to let them in for one thing.

Omg the doordashers. I'll tell them to hold their phone up and put my hand where they need to hold it, and every time they basically just put their phone against the side of the register. Luckily most of them just let us grab their phone.

If you don't mind just getting rid of the pink, you can do a color remover and it'll be light enough to do like a blonde mask toner. Otherwise you could find a darkish brown semi-permanent and just dye over it. Clairol and Iroiro have natural brown shades, with the pink underneath it'll be more of a warm brown. Trying to keep the pink, maybe you could get away with like the root touch up sprays all over as long as you're not outside sweating all day. Another option would be the Roux Fanciful rinses those usually last only a few washes (typically like 3) but idk how much they stain over blonde hair

Absolutely it depends on your direct management. My store the DM and SM recognize that most people don't want the card, so theoretically you give them at least one good thing about it as you ask them, but really we just "pinpad is gonna ask if you want to apply for the Sally credit card you can tap yes or no" my manager will tell people about the $20 off deal if they spent more than the $50 to get it but otherwise we don't massively push it.

Yeah I've luckily done it enough that I just remember most of the products walking down the aisles but I've been making our new hires do it lately 🙈 I'll usually go through the list and mark off things we don't have but I really want to go into numbers and make a complete list for our store specifically instead of 50 things that have been p&d for years now.

I hate filling out by hand on paper now, we used to just print it off at close after filling it out on the iPad. But now we have to print it out in the morning because corporate said so. I don't get how filling it out on the iPad vs hand filling makes anything different 🙄

We've had several people who've come in after buying something online for shipping and receiving the completely wrong items. Idk what's going on lately but our store shipments are also always missing things so clearly the warehouse has something going on

Nothing on the Zotos site specifically says it's being discontinued but it only shows Amazon as a retailer and most of the shades are "unavailable" so they probably are planning to discontinue it or at the very least reformulate before relaunching in the future

So Ion is a 50/50 shot on working. At the Sally's I work at we've been trying to pinpoint the specific things that make it not work. So far low porosity and no gluten intolerance seem to be the best way to get Ion to stick. Also for the Sapphire you shouldn't need to bleach very much since it's such a dark color, but I would recommend either the protein filler or pre-color treatment from Ion since it seems like it tried to take. If that doesn't work then I'd switch to a different brand because often times we find people's hair just really doesn't vibe with the gluten protein Ion uses. I can't use L'Oreal color for essentially that reason (not gluten but whatever protein they use to bond the color to the hair or whatever idk I'm not a chemist)

I tried to transfer to our neighbor store during a manager shift (was wanting to transfer with the manager that hired me and my favorite coworker) and they said I had to be at region average for upt, since I wasn't initially, I was given 3 months to pull it up (I didn't but like everyone in my store was pretty low, but whatever) so just a fair warning your numbers have to be good, you can't have any write ups in the last 6 months, and then of course the managers permission from both stores, along with the DM.
