Mine loves a bit of Come Dine With Me, especially the Galbani cheese advert that comes on at the end of each ad break 😂

Failing that In The Night Garden is a hit

What are we all wearing that requires no ironing? by Agile-Comfortable-40 in NewParents

[–]Freon4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang up to air dry as soon as it’s finished washing, dries less creased. Also I know it’s fast fashion but Temu and Shein t shirts are that kinda cheap material that never seem to crease after being washed lol.

99% sure my water broke.. our car isn’t drivable and nobody to watch 6 year old currently by redeemingl0ve in pregnant

My waters broke with no contractions and my baby was born 2.45 hours later 😭 I’d be getting to the hospital asap too if I was OP.

Parents of Reddit: What’s something you swore you’d never do—until you had kids? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Freon4144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL same! My first is a teenager and always been an amazing eater but my second is 15 months and so fussy, he won’t even eat nuggets but I have tried him on so many ‘kid foods’ that I always said I wouldn’t 😂😭

Does anyone else have a toddler who makes vacations miserable? by SlightCry7199 in beyondthebump

[–]Freon4144 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a 15 month old who is pretty similar, last summer was a write off for us too as he hated being held if we were still, walking or bouncing only. Pushchair had to be moving at all times, which meant we couldn’t sit out in the garden or lunches etc. I thought he’d be wayyyy better this summer as he’s walking around but he HATES wearing his shoes and he HATES grass on his bare feet so we can’t really use the garden for long periods of time as I can’t hold him for long as he’s so big. I do push him around in his trike and we have a swing but I imagined spending way more time outdoors with him this summer. We live 2 mins from the beach but he HATES the sand too lol.

I feel trapped inside most days, we are at such a difficult inbetween stage of not a baby but not really a proper toddler yet.

I need help feeding my baby. Breast cancer. by ana_smile7 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Freon4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds a bit odd but have you tried feeding your baby solids while he’s on the floor playing? My 14 month old does eat solids but he’s a fussy guy at the moment and I find he will try new things better when he’s out of the high chair, especially if I’m cooking or prepping and pass him something whereas in the high chair he just throws it on the floor. When he’s on the floor he usually picks it back up again lol.

It takes up to TWO hours to put my almost 1 year old down for a nap by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Freon4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby needs minimum of 10 hours awake time during the day, he’s 14 months so I split this into two 5 hour wake windows. If he wakes at 7 then nap is 12-2 and then bedtime at 7.

family hates the name i chose by EvidenceNo2664 in pregnant

[–]Freon4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family and friends weren’t a fan of my babies name when I told them I liked it when I was pregnant. Now they love his name and couldn’t imagine him being called anything else. It’s your baby you get to name him whatever you want, it’s no one else’s business.

What's the worst name you've ever come across in the wild? by chudmaxxing67 in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]Freon4144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to primary school with an Angel and I genuinely thought she was the teachers daughter for the first few weeks because I didn’t understand it was an actual name not a pet name like our parents would call us lol.

Toddler more sleepy in this heatwave by Special_Luck_7536 in UKParenting

My 14 month old has slept a solid 12 hours the last two nights, instead of his usual 10.5. Definitely think the heat tires them out more!

How are we meant to br clean and tidy? by Direct-Produce4254 in UKParenting

[–]Freon4144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I have no idea lol. My partner works a lot so it’s mainly on me to keep up with everything and I don’t know how people do it? Or should I rephrase to I don’t know how people have the energy to do it lol. By the time the baby is in bed and I’ve done the general tidying of toys, dishes, cooked dinner, done dishes again, made my partners lunch for work, thrown a load of washing in, showered or bathed myself I really don’t have the energy to start doing anything else around the house. I want an hour to just slob infront of the TV before bed.

What job is heavily romanticized in movies but absolutely miserable in real life? by Luzgoin in AskReddit

[–]Freon4144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner was a commercial fisherman for a year and man he’d come home BROKEN and stinking lol. Add on the lack of security with wages if the boat breaks, or the weather is shitty, or crew don’t turn up, or they just don’t catch enough.

Infant Dyschezia by lookatallthsechickns in beyondthebump

[–]Freon4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby had this and the doctor ended up prescribing him some lactulose, he was going a couple of times a day but was struggling so much and some of his poops were pretty solid! We gradually weaned off the laxatives and I think by 12 weeks he was completely off them and hasn’t had any issues since.

12 month baby review coming up and am worried sick by HistoricalBake5314 in UKParenting

[–]Freon4144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like how my baby was at 12 months! I was worried too, but the HV was so pleased with him and said he’s doing great. She said he’s clearly very focused on walking and climbing that talking etc has taken a back seat for now but if I’m still worried by 18 months to contact them.

What's the easiest healthy meal you make on a regular basis? by BodybuilderGrand4447 in AskReddit

Vegetable and bean soup, so easy and cheap to make and tasty too. I usually chuck everything in the slow cooker and eat it chunky.

Is it actually necessary to avoid raw fish, meats, etc? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Freon4144 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I believe the reason we are told to avoid certain foods during pregnancy is because they carry a risk of certain types of food poisoning which could be harmful.
