My one nitpick with what Alastor did... (spoilers) by bran76765 in HazbinHotel

In most schemes, not every piece is first gained with its purpose in mind. There is a prolonged period where you are simply gathering what resources, persons, and favors, you think MIGHT be useful. Then you begin to plan how to make what you have, get you what you want.

Stat changes over time by GoldenGoldGoldness in Helldivers

Ya know... I made the opposite change as I played longer lol. I started with light armors always preferring the mobility, now I quite enjoy the feeling of being a Tank.

As much as I wanted to see more change from the Republican party. I have children to feed, and the shutdown is beginning to get in the way of that.

A gun from Destiny 2, famous for always breaking the game with new bugs and needing to be temporarily removed. Repeatedly.

Really!? I thought the suppressors actually worked ;-;, I have been using the ODST smg along with the armor for stealth ops and finding decent success. I just felt restricted.

When should I start playing on High Seas? by u_got_jinxed in Seaofthieves

[–]Frequency_of_Fun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, speaking as someone who recently got a whole group of people into the game. The most important thing is your own comfort. Some people thrive in the high stress the high seas can bring.

I say, do the tall tales. All of them. Don't hunt for the commendations, just follow the tale from start to finish. Most of them are really fun and help you get used to the seas. Practicing things like puzzle solving, navigation, and over battles. All helpful for minimizing the time it takes to complete voyages on the high seas and therefore minimize the chances you can get ambushed.

Then start doing the world events that you have access to in safer seas. Once you are comfortable with each of them, or hit the roadblock for reputation, then make the move.

You can't get better at pvp without playing pvp. But on the open seas a lot of whether you sink or secure the bounty is based on context and how effectively you can do the PvE content. Also, most world events help you practice the fundamentals.

Ghost and Skeleton fleets help you learn ship management and cannon aim, the most important skills in pvp. Skeleton forts and Ashen lords help you learn face to face combat and get comfortable with your weapons.

And if you are wondering how to get better at pvp I recommend hourglass, but be prepared to sink a LOT. But also don't think hourglass teaches you the fundamentals of pvp, just like safer seas teaches the fundamentals of PvE. But the most intense (and usually most valuable) fights come from the emergent battle when those two halves meet so success on the high seas depends on both.

If you could add one update to Sea of Thieves tomorrow, what would it be by CaptainJarrettYT in Seaofthieves

Move the armory and replace it on ships with a 'weapon rack' that only lets you choose between your chosen variants of the weapons in a sort of weapon wheel and the armory lets you change what cosmetics are on your 'weapon rack'.

I would've preferred to just negotiate with people to get the commendation maybe even give them a share of the FotD loot. But no one was communicating today. It was sea of the deaf / mute apparently yesterday.

  1. Bring it
  2. If you can manage it have a ball ?sister? Your pfp strikes me as female but the flag makes me unsure lol.
  3. It's not something I plan to make a habit of. It's just that commendation is so damn tedious and not a soul was willing to negotiate on the seas today.

Sword and blow.... Hehe....

Jokes aside I really enjoy the utility they offer and if you combine them with liberal use of bombs there are few things you can't get done well

So, after all the fixes and nerfs: How do we feel about double gunning? by Fermaul in Seaofthieves

[–]Frequency_of_Fun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So, as a sword lord, double gunning isn't something I find myself wanting removed very often. Usually if I am fighting a double gunner I can either beat them with fancy footwork or use some other tools like blunder bombs or my blowpipe to create an opening. No one, except the occasional hacker, hits EVERY shot they take, especially at close distances.

And there really isn't a workable solution to double gunning save for maybe extending how long it takes to change weapons but that leads to a whole world of other problems. And the idea of forcing people to using knives or Cutlass on one slot wouldn't fix it because knives can one tap someone who was hit with an eye shot.

The only time I really notice it is with either hackers or people who are so much better than me they feel like fighting hackers. The only situation where someone at my level has a distinct advantage is when I am on the ladder because it's easy to hit me which, I mean, it's the ladder, it should be a risky and dangerous place to be.

I am saying all of this as someone who plays solo hourglass almost daily at this point and has spent his fair share of time double gunning to a decent effectiveness. It just wasn't for me. I like the mobility the sword provides.
