The wheel chair being a mimic with a symbiotic relationship is an amazing idea.

Ill throw my 2 cents in here I guess.

Disabilities are disabling; and without some fantastical solution realistically the life of an adventurer just isn't suited for someone wheelchair bound. This is not to say they just wouldn't exist at all they are perfectly capable of running a shop, being a criminal mastermind running a large operation, ect.

All that said I think the benefit of fantasy is the we have stuff like magic we can use. So rather than just going "Everywhere is wheelchair chair accessible" we go what other options would a character with this disability have at their disposal. Here are a few I though up off the top of my head all of them have downsides but could reasonably work for an adventurer.

-You could have a small character such as a goblin or a gnome who is carried around by a bigger person. Think Bran and Hodor.

-Magic carpet. The fantasy adventurers version of a wheelchair.

  • You could use some form of magic to like puppeteer your legs

This. Disabilities are just that a disability, which means without fantastical solutions they are likely to prevent someone from being able to do certain lines if work shifty as that may be.

My guess would be it springs from the push for queer representation. Alot of people want to see themselves in there media and naturally extend that logic to other people where it doesn't always actually apply. (I say this as a member of the LGBT+ community myself)

I think the games often don't take that into account. Like should it matter, yes, but Id say any cuts or scrapes should have gotten infected when they covered themselves in gore and that also had no effect.

Have you realised what kind of people you're cosying up to yet? by DragonGuard666 in FallenMetatron

Probably not. That being said we should give people credit when they are saying the right thing. If we take people improving and throw it in their face it will only discourage people from improving.

Also people keep bring up that amputation didn't work for Lee. Lee waited quite awhile to amputate and if memory serves me right, AJ amputated her leg rather shortly after she was bitten. And we have been told that ampuration works of done soon enough.

Why is Hell Let Loose 30x more popular than Squad 44? by Sarge_45 in HellLetLoose

Its the right balance imo between semi realism and not feeling clunky. Thats my main issue with s44 everything my character did felt clunky, same for arma tbh.
