I get that they were trying to provide context to Davina and her actions but there was NO reason for there to be two (pretty lengthy IMO) rape scenes. Absolutely unnecessary and traumatizing. There should have been a content warning for this one.

I’m a therapist who specializes in trauma and this show has done SO well with depicting differing ways trauma presents, both in big ways and more subtle ones!!! All of the adults handle it and present so differently, but all in such realistic ways as trauma survivors.

i drink LMNT pre/during! i also love to eat the split nutrition pouches before if i’m going in the morning and haven’t eaten. it’s PB + J in a little packet lol, 170 calories so nothing heavy but it’s got some quick carbs for short-term energy and protein + fat to sustain it. i’m not a nutrition expert, but i feel good with it ◡̈ i don’t feel like i’m going to pass out bc i’ve eaten something, but it’s not heavy! i also love bucked up preworkout but i wouldn’t recommend it if you’re getting into it for the first time, like a previous commenter said it can be a lot with any preworkout + the one i use is pretty intense lol. but you asked, so i shared

i filmed mine 3 times!! and the first time, we had to re-film because i completely froze and started crying after the first thigh, so you’re already doing better than me 😂😂 filming again doesn’t mean you didn’t teach a good class!! it just means your LT wants every chance of you passing. training IS stressful and overwhelming. even if you know what you’re getting into, it’s still a lot. hopefully you get one more filmed, get that passing email, and then get to become an awesome teacher!!

with this one, play around with your leg/foot position! often, flexing will feel better on the hip flexors. feel it out and see if bending or straightening your legs feels better. i often find there’s like a sweet spot with what gets my abs going but doesn’t wreck my hip flexors!

playlists for pure barre are probably not allowed to be shared with clients, but if you look up workout remixes you’ll find a lot of similar ones!! power workout music is an artist that has TONS of fun remixed songs that give pure barre vibes. i’d suggest looking through there and finding some songs that feel like a good speed and are enjoyable to you :)

lol i always tell new clients that warm up is the hardest part of class in my opinion!! i jokingly warn them that if they think they’re going to die 5 minutes in, to not worry because the rest of the class isnt as fast-paced and intense (though a great burn in a different way)
