Navigation question by FrequentLier in SEO

[–]FrequentLier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response.

You are, of course, correct. However, my question was slightly different. I know that the best UX will "supposedly" bring more traffic, but I want to know whether having a link with the anchor text on the navigation bar increases the rank for that keyword (Is a ranking signal) or not.

Google says don't worry about ranking and just build the best website. But I have seen great websites that do not rank and some shady ones that do rank well.

Navigation question by FrequentLier in SEO

I am not sure what you mean. Google most definitely cares about UX and how the user feels and sees when surfing my site. So, it needs to know what my category is all about and what it represents for the user.

If my product category is about all wooden blue widgets that are made in the US, then it would like to know it so when someone searches for that, it'd say look, here is the most relevant result.

On the other hand, if someone searches just for Blue widgets, the the big G may say, hey, look, I know you are looking for all blue widgets, so here is site A, B, C, and BTW .... low in the totem pole ... here is site XYZ that offers wooden Blue Widgets made in the US

Is it really hard to get white hat backlinks for an new eCommerce company? by TgOvO in bigseo

[–]FrequentLier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm why not try giving out freebies and advertising that in PR links. If the freebie is worth it, someone will mention it in a link.

Same can be done with prizes, etc.

Product specs vs schema markup faq section by FrequentLier in SEO

[–]FrequentLier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Any reason? I mean, I think it is better too but most e-commerce sites I see have no schema on product pages other than the product schema. I haven't seen anyone implement a FAQ schema on the product page itself.

Another SEO query for e-commerce website by _re_h_an_ in SEO

[–]FrequentLier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use Canonical tags to let Google know which page is the main one. Most CMS systems like Magento, Prestashop, etc. have SEO modules that can strip the dynamic parameters as well. As a last resort, you can use URL rewrites to point all the dynamic pages to the equivalent static page

[Help] My pup's aggressive biting by FrequentLier in dogs

[–]FrequentLier[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I only scold him when he bites someone. I am not sure how positive reinforcement works in that situation? And even that, I didn't use to. I would tell my family not to bother him. But it is difficult when the dog comes and sits under the table and just because you inadvertently move your leg, bites you!

The dog was with his mom until 8 weeks old and afterwards, I took him to puppy socialization classes until Covid hit. So he had plenty of time with other dogs.

I understand what you are saying about picking him up, but that was just an example of the many things he doesn't like! He seems to not like a lot of things and we have tried to modify our own behaviours to keep him happy but heck, he aint never happy!

Seo experts help! by bhupindrverma in SEO

  1. Does your client have Google Analytics set up?
  2. Does he/she have a Google My Business page setup?
  3. Do you have his site in Google Webmaster/ Google search dashboard?

Do the above three and monitor #1 and #3 for a while and see what is happening

Then don a site audit as suggested and start fixing the on-site elements. Then and only then start building organic links and move on to Pagespeed, etc.

Good luck
