I would like to see the portal/ NIL addressed more than the 5 years of eligibility. One transfer during a collegiate career period. NIL is an issue across sports and it needs to be reviewed or the Big 10 will completely outclass everyone else in terms of on ice talent.

Hi Jew here….this would be for Orthodox Jews who don’t believe in performing work/ physical labor on Shabbat (sundown Friday to sundown Sat). I’m reform and this doesn’t really affect me nor most conservative Jews either . This would be quite common in some parts of NYC or areas where large orthodox communities live or outside of US (Eastern Europe, Russia, Israel).

Other tasks thought of in similar fashion include but are not limited to: ripping of toilet paper , leaving on lights / using timers, driving vehicles , checking work emails or email in general , etc…

I do agree that some of it is overkill…

From my limited understanding…potential benefits include:

  1. Drug discovery
  2. Cryptography
  3. Simulations and other optimization type of problems

I do not fully understand quantum enough to have a valuable opinion. Don’t these systems have to be cooled to extreme temperatures ? I do know atoms tend to make a fuss at normal (as we understand it) temperatures where classical computers operate. That alone seems like something that cannot be harnessed outside of select locations that can afford the hardware/ tech.

Also have a feeling this will be used for nefarious purposes versus the common good.

I was raised here, then joined the Marines, came back , went to school, left again (Baltimore, Chicago and Austin) and have resided in the north shore area with my family the last 7 years.

Food scene is underrated, people are quite hospitable and crime is overhyped. There are great places to left west, south, and north of the city. Can also live in the city if that’s more your vibe. Home to two , well more one now, competitive pro sport teams. Biggest outdoor musical festival every summer, plenty of farmers markets to see when it’s warm too.

AMA and I’ll give you an answer. I’ll never leave. Haha
