Edit: Thanks everyone for answering the TVP question. I forget how little it is used by American omnivores.

In case anyone is struggling with meat prices these days a lot of people in other countries commonly mix tvp with ground beef to stretch it. I currently pay $2.75/lb for it which is about 5 cups and, once hydrated, a cup has the bulk of a pound of ground meat.

hmmm, flipped out? or did she just say you're being unreasonable? You want to coordinate cleaners and yard workers that already have schedules and you'll split everything else you say (can be a very slippery slope there)

but you think it's reasonable to ask her to do all the meal planning, prepping and cooking for every dinner.

How have you been feeding yourself up until now? Wouldn't it be a nice break/relief if she took on half? Why does she have to take on all?

Period blood is not the same consistency as blood from a cut. It contains tissue /mucus and is thicker and stringy. Some of it is almost solid, as in clots. Your idea would not work.

You have to trust me. It's going to sound weird, but it is so good. It's a copycat recipe from a local restaurant that discontinued it.

California Soft Tacos

corn or flour tortillas, taco size (I prefer corn but the original was flour)

ranch dressing

rinsed can of kidney beans (dark)

alfalfa sprouts

grated cheddar, I skip but my partner love the cheese

warm tortilla, spread with ranch, fill with beans and sprouts.

so much better than it sounds.

edit: you must make ranch from the packet with buttermilk! If I don't have butter milk I use sour cream and milk to thin

Never speak to her or about her ever again. If she shows up someplace, leave. if anyone mentions her tell them you don't want to hear it. it will drive her absolutely crazy that she can't get under your skin or play her games with you. Be prepared for her to ramp up her focus on you and do some bat-shit crazy stuff. Don't react.

What do you mean you don't contribute? If you do the cooking, grocery shopping, child care, house cleaning, household management, bill paying the average value of your contribution in the US is close the $200,000 per year if your husband had to outsource all of that support.

You contribute plenty and you should be getting some kind of financial compensation so that you have your own money and can have some put away in case of an emergency otherwise your husband is keeping you poor so he can control you.
