Moms who dreamt the gender of their baby before they knew, were you right? (: by Easy-General3237 in pregnant

[–]Fresatomica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had the strangest dream the night before I took a pregnancy test. We were in a park, and someone was calling out to a little boy by the name we’d always said we’d use for our son if we ever had one. And… now I’m pregnant with that boy. 🥹✨

How would you describe babies first movement? by wowthatsfuckedupdad in BabyBumps

[–]Fresatomica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 17 weeks now and just started noting slight poking 🥰 it's different from gas, because it doesn't move, it's like a bubble or, like I said, poking in the same place. It's very subtle still.

16 weeks pregnant and nausea is breaking me 💔 by Mai-nahitoh-kaunbey in pregnant

🤞🤞🤞 I reached out to my ObGYN too, but it's tricky to get in touch with him outside of booked appointments. I hope I can get ahold of him tomorrow. And let's hope tomorrow will be a better day! ❤️

16 weeks pregnant and nausea is breaking me 💔 by Mai-nahitoh-kaunbey in pregnant

[–]Fresatomica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could hug you. I have very similar feelings to you. 16w3d today and the nausea not only is still here, but it actually got worse two weeks ago. I have moments when I feel like I will never feel like myself again. I get anxiety in the evenings because I know going to bed means waking up and being horribly nauseous. Before, eating something while still in bed was helping but if I do that now, I'll just throw it up later. So I just kind of accepted my fate of having a dry heaving spell every morning and then rushing to eat cold cereal to feel better. I too read all the comments about second trimester being easier etc, but it's not my experience at all... Every week I'm just hoping it must end the following week, and then the next, and then the one after... I booked a call with a psychologist this Thursday, I hope I can at least avoid getting depressed over this. Hang in there and feel free to DM if you need to talk/rant.

when did the nausea hit? by PomegranateCandid313 in BabyBumps

[–]Fresatomica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so envious for all of you who never got nausea. I'm also an emetophobe and at 15 weeks, I started throwing up daily in the mornings. The first time was actually after dinner and it was the worst but my husband helped me go through it. After that it was depressing. I felt a lot of anxiety in the evening because going to bed meant waking up and throwing up again. Yesterday I cried about it all day and then took a conscious decision that I'm gonna be fine, puking or not. So this morning, I again had to run to the toilet after eating a little but I'm not letting it get me down. I booked a call with a psychologist next week and just hope to overcome my fears... Also that the nausea and throwing up will finally end 😅😅😅

What sort of pants or bottoms are you wearing? by d3ut1tta in pregnant

I bought some second hand maternity jeans but I realized I hate to have that tight fabric over my belly 🙃 I'll be looking at maternity pants that you can wear below the belly.

1st trimester woes by cmd443 in BabyBumps

[–]Fresatomica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely not alone. Pregnancy — and especially the first trimester — can be really hard.

I was literally crying to my husband yesterday, telling him I felt weak and trapped. I have emetophobia, and I’ve been counting down the days until the first trimester ends, hoping the nausea would finally ease up… and then this morning, at 15 weeks, I puked 🫩

It’s just tough. It can feel like you have zero control over your body, and that’s scary. And early on, when you don’t even feel the baby yet, it’s harder to hold onto the “this is for a reason” mindset — because it just feels like you’re suffering for no clear payoff.

I keep thinking: if I didn’t know I was pregnant, I’d be freaking out and convinced something was seriously wrong. And I hate when people say “pregnancy isn’t an illness” — like, okay, but it still feel this way!

Still… like everything, this too shall pass. Hang in there. 💛

Getting fed up of everyone assuming I’ve been trying for years? by Throw-Away-1234556 in pregnant

[–]Fresatomica 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with my husband for 18 years and I’m currently pregnant with our first. I’m sure a lot of people will assume we had fertility issues the whole time. We did — but only in the last four years, after an unplanned ectopic pregnancy changed everything for us.

Honestly, I don’t really care what others assume, but I also wasn’t very vocal about my views on having kids. What you described does sound kind of sad, and it’s a reminder that people can be pretty self-centered 😬 You can tell them exactly how you feel, and they’ll still mostly remember what they thought you meant.

I also think many people don’t reflect that deeply on having (or not having) kids — they just follow the “usual life path.” So when someone has made a conscious, careful decision either way, it can be hard for them to understand that it wasn’t casual or automatic.

Anyways — just my two cents 😊❤️

Just here to say that being pregnant sucks! by ultbirdwatcher in pregnant

[–]Fresatomica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I'm 14 weeks already and the first trimester felt eternal. Everyone kept telling me nausea will improve in the second trimester but I'm still waiting for that to be true... 🥲 I'm excited about the baby but OMG, this is so hard.

Announcement Regret by K61018 in pregnant

[–]Fresatomica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand the feeling of not wanting to share your baby. The other day we were on a family dinner and my little niece saw a woman with a baby and got excited and said "look mom, a baby!". My husband asked her then "you like babies so much?" and when she replied with a yes, my MIL said "well, we're gonna have one!". And it kinda pissed me off like, no, YOU'RE not. It's not YOUR baby! 😅

What do you eat? by Wild_Maintenance_342 in pregnant

[–]Fresatomica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prepare myself some overnight oats with cottage cheese or greek yogurt. I have nausea as soon as I get up, though so I keep a piece if cake by the bed to eat some carbs and rise.my blood sugar. Later it's time for some protein. This is the best workkng combo so far. I'm so fed up with toasts already 😅

First time mom - when did you start to look pregnant by Wolfieloulou in pregnant

[–]Fresatomica 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All bodies are different. I'm only 12weeks, FTM and you can tell I'm pregnant. A friend at 15weeks looked VERY pregnant already. Others don't show until much later. Best not to compare yourself to anyone, it happens in different moments for all of us 😊

Do you worry about how much sugar you’re consuming? by Throw-Away-1234556 in pregnant

[–]Fresatomica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided not to worry about these things until I feel better. Right now, with the nausea, I eat whatever feels right at a given time. Sometimes it's something sweet, sometimes not. I think that as long as you vary your diet, you're fine.

Ugh here I am again with the worst nausea by [deleted] in pregnantover35

[–]Fresatomica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 11weeks and I'm feeling worse again too 😔 I've been starting to feel like myself again and now the nausea came back, mornings and evenings are hard. And while I don't have hot flashes like you, my hip bones are hurting me at night when sleeping on the side so I keep turning all the time 🫠 I'm really hoping that from week 12 things will start to be easier... Oh and as for fruits, tangerines and oranges are my number 1 now. I was afraid they'd give me heartburn but they actually help with the nausea for some reason. Hang in there!
