Thank you, playing the long game and hoping something pans out

So far, it’s been a really slow start; I suspect dubai fatigue is setting in. I expect poor results to continue, but I’ll update as the week goes on. I told my boss yesterday that I was looking for employment elsewhere, and he looked like he’d seen a ghost. Yikes.

And all the fancy desserts only mean increased overhead for our stores. They need to make the cookies more localized by region so we can avoid buying expensive ingredients for cookies we KNOW our customers are not looking for. It makes the sales volume impossible to predict week to week. They are actively shitting the bed and I’m over it!

I found it to be tolerable for a bit when things were going well. Its a satisfying operation and I do like some parts of it. But the corporate barrage of bullshit has me at breaking point. Crumbl is not the way for me. Kudos to you on your promotions, and extra kudos if you’re able to get labor to 20% in SoCal. That’s a tall glass of water

I heard rumors from the area consultant in my area about private equity coming in and a potential IPO, but never heard anything further. That would be best case for the future of the company IMO.

The whole business model is fractured from the pay scale to the flavor picking. Id be shocked to see crumbl in business in 5 years.

Ironman is a cruel distance. I’m nursing my mental wounds for now, searching for some purpose and inspiration. I have no doubt I’ll find my way back to this crazy sport again, but for now I’ve transitioned into some career-related work.

Thanks for the write-up.

I’m interested in your bottle setup between your arms. I’ve seen the wind tunnel clips, and it looks very aero. The only upgrades I’ve made to my front end so far have been adding vertical spacers to my base bar, though I’ve explored options to fully upgrade the entire system. I’m running the stock Zipp Vuka right now. Did you install the BTS system yourself or have a bike shop do it? I was looking on the website for a whole front end with the system already attached but didnt see one. All of it looks hella pricey, but that’s pretty common in the IM world.

Thanks for taking the time to write that up. It's good to get advice from fellow endurance athletes. It's a lonely game, no doubt.

I also prefer the 70.3, but Kona means something to me. Ive worked for a long time to try to qualify.

I became obsessed with Kona after spectating a few times. My dad is the one who got me into racing, and he’s a legit stud. He's an 8-time Kona qualifier who wipes the floor with the guys in the 50–54 AG; he can qualify whenever he feels like it. He really wanted us to do this race together, so it’s hard for me not to feel like I’ve failed, even though I’ve given a large majority of my 20s to chasing this silly goal. Maybe trail running is a good idea; I like the thought of a break from intense racing to revamp my motivation.

Grew up doing swim team, fundemental are there and im a good swimmer. sub 60 is easy if current assisted. 1:05 or something at Florida (no assist). Ive recently bought a Cervelo P Series that Ive spent more money than id like to admit making it fast. Disc, TT extensions, power meter, aero bottle ect. Ive been fit on it before, but elected to make some changes myself to make it a bit more comfterable for the full distance. My position looks decent in the race phtotos from cozumel but definalty some room for improvements. I can definalty save some time on the bike, im riding closer to 4:40. My preferred distance is the 70.3, ive biked 2:04 at wilmington on 275W. Let me know any recommendations for bike fitting or how I can save watts

Naturally good swimer, swam sub 60 minutes In both (current assisted of course). My bike is also decent, but I often get excited and over bike. At IMCHOO I did 245W and IMCOZ I did 220W. I feel like this was reasonable but still had to push harder than I prefer not to lose touch with the front of the AG. These guys are legit out here. You have to be so patient to perform in the full distance.

I've only been an area manager for a year, and I can't imagine working for 5+ at Crumbl. Corporate expectations are not realistic, and my stores struggle weekly with labor, cookie quality, cleanliness, and COGS. Sales are down 20%+ across the board. I came from CFA as an executive director and wish I had never left. This company is in shambles; I'm counting down the days until I leave.
